My self-summary
California to Houston transplant finding myself a stranger in a strange land.

Computers by day, adventures by night.

I like going dancing, sculpting, painting, cooking, reading, playing hobby board games you've never heard of, and hanging with my cat.

Other fun factoids:
I was an extra in the most expensive porn ever made. I used to sculpt Halloween masks and accessories. I have an extensive collection of HP Lovecraft ephemera. And! I know pretty much everything there is to know about the history of steam power. Cause yah'know, nerd.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a badass Sys Admin.
I’m really good at
Lots of stuff, and I'm always interested in learning more.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm carbon base and/or that I'm over 6" tall.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This list is far from exhaustive, and I haven't updated it forever. It isn't even all that representative of my "favorites". It just happens to be a collection of some of the stuff that I really like that happened to be salient at the time.

I read a lot.
I've loved Neil Stephenson's Baroque Cycle, The illumanatus trillogy, Stranger in a Strange Land, The Power Makers, The Army of the Potomac, Charlotte Temple, The Kingkiller Chronicles, A Game of Thrones, Snowcrash, Neuromancer, Fight Club, anything by Richard Dawkins, Ray Kurtzweil, or Cory Doctorow. Breakfast of Champions, The Road, On the Road, House of Seven Gables, Walden Pond, Kafka, Ralph Waldo Emmerson, H.P. Lovecraft, Ken Follet.

Movin` pictures are swell!
Some of my favorites: Eternal Sunshine, Amelie, Alfred Hitchcock, THX1148, Logans Run, Gattica, Being John Malkovitch, The Audition, Event Horizon, Cube, Pi, Thor, zombie movies, monster moves, I'll watch pretty much any sci fi flick that comes out, superhero movies are a big weakness too.

TV- I've watched about 30 minutes of TV in the last 6 months. I still like it, and I'm not that guy who doesn't have a TV, I just don't make time for it anymore.

I'm also pretty into music.
I like electronic music (I'm a very amateur DJ) , gypsy punk, the accordion, female vocalists, and piles of other stuff.
Glitchmob, Mstrkraft, The Clash, London Below, Stolen babies, The Shantyannes, The Decemberists, The Submarines, Gogol Bordelo, devotchka, David Bowie, NIN, , Yelle, Regina Spekter, Kate Nash, Lilly Alen, Yael Naim, La Roux, The Bird and The Bee, Novelle Vauge, Massive Attack, Kaskade, Ooah, Bassnectar, An-ten-aeh, MC Frontalot, Mc Chris, Optimus Rhymes, ect.
Six things I could never do without
6 things lists.
Flippant answers.
Not completing lists.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Giant Monsters
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't pass the Voight-Kampff test.
You should message me if
You've got your shit together and know how to have a good time. You like conversations about science, art, technology, literature, religion, politics, sociology, etc.
You're into board games, kink, open relationships, exploring your consciousness, but still get up and go to work on Monday.
You're done, or nearly done putting your life together, know what you want, who you are and like what you have going on.
You're an editor. Man, do I fucking need one.
