My self-summary
I'm an international and sort of French guy, lived in a bunch of places including Paris, London, Singapore and now I've recently moved to Chicago.

I like to think I'm creative and passionate. I was born in the US, then moved to Paris when I was a kid, where I grew up. My grandfather is from Andalucia & I enjoy Flamenco, hence the user name (I took a few classes years ago).

I love having a good laugh, I have a fairly dry and sarcastic sense of humour. I like tabletop gaming, great food, wines & beers.

I'm looking for an awesome relationship.

Bon un peu en français, juste pour montrer que je peux l'écrire... Je peux le parler aussi, évidemment.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm enjoying it. I wander.

I help brands figure out how best to communicate with their audiences and achieve their marketing objectives. I tend to work with ad agencies as well as directly with clients as a freelance consultant.

I remind myself to stop and smell the roses.

I travel. I was travelling around Southeast Asia for 18 months, backpacking and working freelance on the beach. I lived in Singapore after that, spent some in India before moving back to Europe and now the US. I'd love to have a base somewhere (that's Chicago for now) and be able to at least occasionally work remotely and keep visiting awesome places. I'd love to spend a season on ski slopes for example.

I daydream, think of a multitude of various elaborate projects, start several, and maybe finish one. I started homebrewing beer a couple of years ago for example.

I listen to a bunch of audio podcasts, I've also started recording & producing my own show. I also write a weekly long form newsletter.

I'm interested in personal development and coaching type conversations and courses. If you know Myers-Briggs (and it matters to you) I'm an ENFJ. If you've heard of Gallup Strengths, my top 5 are: Ideation / Futuristic / Individualization / Responsibility / Input.
I’m really good at
I like to think I'm a good writer, or at least I enjoy writing; I write in my blog and a weekly email newsletter. I have an unfinished novel I need to work on.

Listening to people and giving advice. Sometimes people just seem to naturally spill out the craziest personal stories or issues to me.

Being pretty damn honest. I try to tone it down for people I don't know, I think I've gotten better at that over the years.

Achieving any result when I really set myself to it.

I got some dance moves - nothing formal, I like the occasional dance night.

I'm a certified in traditional Thai massage and foot reflexology.

Smiling, laughing and making people laugh (If you like my kind of humour).
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Or that I'm not from around here.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
How about talking books, music & movies over a coffee or drink?

For now let's just mention Neil Gaiman, Scott Lynch, Once Upon A Time in America, Star Wars, Singin' in the Rain, Avenue Q and Le Nozze di Figaro.

I also love all sorts of foods, I'm probably more of a meat person overall though. I love good wine and craft beers. I also enjoy spicy food.
Six things I could never do without
My family - not sure that should be qualifies in "things" but hey.
My friends
The internet (though I've done without and could probably again - well, just for a few days...).
Food - I'd die for starters, but I love food anyway.
Great booze
Games (particularly board & tabletop roleplaying games)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Daydreaming what could have been, what is and what could be. How to make people happy. What I'm going to write about in my newsletter this week. Who I should interview for my podcast. What podcast to listen to next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can easily fit my whole foot in my mouth. Figuratively, that is.
You should message me if
You like what you're reading and seeing.
