My self-summary
I'm kind of a low-key person - I'll spend an evening reading a book or walking if the weather's nice enough. When given the opportunity though, I'm definitely down with dancing the night away or belting out Karaoke.

After getting a Masters in physics, I left my home state of Florida to try a new life in Madison. I love science, but the PhD route just wasn't for me...did get a few papers out of it though.

Really enjoy my job here, and Madison in general, so I plan to stick around for quite a while, and take advantage of everything Wisconsin has to offer.

My singing:
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a developer for Epic.
Staying in shape.
A lot of reading.
Spending as much time outside as I can when the weather's nice.
I’m really good at
Analytical thinking
Day dreaming
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, The Baroque Cycle (Neal Stephenson), science textbooks, history books (any place or time)

Music: Jamiroquai, Pinback, Mother Mother, Radiohead, Imogen Heap, Tegan and Sara, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Ken Ashcorp, Michael Jackson

I don't really watch tv or play video games anymore. Except for Steven Universe...

Food: Almost anything - I could eat dark chocolate all day. I also love salmon.
Six things I could never do without
1) Seasons (sorry, Florida...)
2) Walking / Hiking
3) Good friends
4) Really interesting books
5) Goals
6) Optimism
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I love history, and have read a massive amount of history books. That has lead me to an interest in historiography - why we study history, and what the purpose of it is. I'm very curious about how people from the past viewed the past (and how they viewed the future).

I used to read a lot of fiction, especially fantasy, but not so much anymore.

In a pinch, I'll also read textbooks for fun - history, science, literature...every once in a while I'll pick up my old physics textbooks to brush up on my empirical and mathematical skills.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably reading or going on a hike or walk.
