My self-summary
I am a lover of science. Anything that elicits thought and reason based on evidence and circumstance is my poetry. I don't read nearly as much as I would like, and I watch far more tv than is healthy. I won't discuss politics, but I have strong, logical opinions of my own.

Being active is a must although deep down I am quite lazy. I love my bike, running, climbing, swimming, hiking, snowboarding, playing baseball and kickball. But must importantly I just want to be outside.

I love music, but only understand its effect on me. I have a love for hip hop and punk rock, but firmly believe both died shortly after the end of the nineties.
What I’m doing with my life
At the moment I teach kids science. I try to get outside as much as possible. Bike rides to a climbing spot in wissahickon are a must in spring. The new docks on the Schuykyll are the best spot to take a mid run break. And when the sun goes down (and ocassionally before) I can be found in SPTR or lounging outside at Catina.
I’m really good at
Nothing that's why I keep trying...
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall, loud, and have a lot of hair. On second glance one might notice glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Every book I read is my favorite to be honest. I grew up with Harry Potter and those stories will always have a place in my heart. Recently I have been reading lots of backcountry non-fiction adventure and a collection of Richard Feynmen lectures and essays. I haven't been reading much recently but I'm always trying to learn something new. Also, Malcolm X's Autobiography is possibly the most important book I've ever read.

As far as movies go, Harry Potter is amazing. But there are better movies. Shawshank is everything and Fight Club was life changing. Other than that I'll pretty much watch anything with Bradley Cooper or Ryan Gosling.

I watch too much TV. Any of the hour long episodes on HBO and Showtime are good. The Wire is classic, as well as the Boondocks and Dave Chapelle.

I listen to Hip Hop, Punk rock, Jazz, Soul, Just about anything that is made with style and not for money. Love Outkast, Talib Kweli, Lucero, Against Me! Coltrane, Nina Simone, and Led Zepplin.

I'm cutting meat and dairy from my diet. Not strictly, but as much as I can. I believe it's best for my health.
The six things I could never do without
Mountains, snowboarding, sun, guacamole, hot sauce, and (unfortunately) my phone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can be better at whatever I am doing. Also, Baseball and swimming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Generally drinking early after work. I tend to survive each week from September to June by the skin of my teeth then drink for the night. I enjoy happy hour and meeting people for food, events, and shows. Other times I'm driving through the night on my way to some adventure in New England.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If it's private and I share it, then it is no longer private. So in a sense I must share the must public thing about me. I rock climb.
You should message me if
