My self-summary
I'm just an open-minded nerd. I appreciate many things in life, and enjoy doing just about anything, therefore it's been hard to find anything that I've really excelled at. Instead, I'm average at many, many things. I love to learn and have had many different jobs in my quest for knowledge. I was a photographer, a vehicle inspector, valet driver, bank teller, delivery driver, saleswoman, home improvement employee, and a few other things. I love music and movies, enjoy video games, dancing, and driving. I love to dream. I love to touch. I love finding the beauty in things. I have naturally curly hair, but almost always wear it straight. I mostly always wear my glasses, unless it's raining, or there's a special occasion. People often call me weird, mostly because I always say what's on my mind without hesitation- so you could be talking about dogs, then I'd probably burst out talking about how much I love chicken... because my thought processes went from dogs- I used to have a dog named Lilu. Leeloo- a character from The Fifth Element, in which she says "Chicken...good." So what... I'm random, and weird. Take it or leave it. Anyways...I love to eat... don't love the consequences of that love. Workout buddies... are you out there? Let's go hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking! My biggest pet peeves are bad drivers, teeth grinding, loud eaters, bad breath, cockiness, terrible grammar (it doesn't have to be perfect. But I can't stand messages consisting of "hey ma wuz up wit u? YOUR pretty cool." What about my pretty cool? Oh... he meant to say "You're pretty cool,") clinginess, and I LOATHE liars. Don't ever let me catch you in a lie because I will rip you a new one. I can handle the truth... I'm a big girl.

My favorite thing in the world is to drive with my windows down. If it's cool outside, I blast the heater, and if it's hot, I turn up the a/c. I love the way it feels. A sort of salty-sweet taste, but for the body. And then I turn up the music... stick my hand out of the window so it feels like I'm flying. I've felt euphoria before, in a car named Charlie.
What I’m doing with my life
Watching the Quadrantid meteor shower... You should do the same.

I work at a resort at their restaurant. Going to work everyday is a pleasure. Not only do I get to work at a beautiful place, but I also get to work with and for beautiful people. I'm trying to get back into school to become an ultrasound technician.
I’m really good at
Driving. And no, not good for a girl. Good period.

Making mixed CDs. The last three I've made have had less than 15 seconds of free space left on them. Impressive, I know.

Controlling weird muscles in my body to where I can do the whole Vulcan greeting on both of my hands without any trouble. Or I can selectively wiggle only my little toe, or I can make my eyebrows dance. Pretty awesome. You know you wish you could be as cool as I am.

Taking forever to reply to a message. There's no excuse.

Hallucinating. I do it all the time. A tad bit of sleep deprivation, playing in the woods after dark, or sitting in a pot smoke- filled room, and I'm there. I do not smoke pot because I am what they call a "one hitter quitter."

Or I've been told I give a good massage, but that's up to you to decide.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile, I guess. I almost always have one. Or the fact that I laugh way too much. I love life, and find myself smiling simply because of that.

Also, apparently, I'm quirky...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love most books written by Stephen King. The Giver, Farnham's Freehold, and Cat's Cradle are awesome. I'm currently reading The Sirens of Titan and Stranger in a Strange Land. If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears.

Movies: Any movie directed by Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, The Coen Brothers, Darren Aronofsky, Tim Burton, and Quentin Tarentino. I have a soft spot for most of the movies that play on TCM at 5 am. Some of my other favorites are Willy Wonka, Drop Dead Fred, The Fifth Element, Kung Fu Hustle, Shaun of the Dead, Amelie, Angel-A, Return to Oz, To Wong Fu, The Witches of Eastwick, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Happiness, eXistenZ, Star Trek, American Beauty, Hear No Evil, See No Evil, National Lampoons Senior Trip, Garden State, Tree of Life, Phil the Alien, The Brothers Solomon, Wristcutters, Memento, Run Lola Run, The Fall, and way too many more to list here. I also love zombie movies and cheesey sci-fi movies consisting of giant killer insects, killer clowns, killer tomatoes... you catch my drift. A new favourite is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It is highly underrated. It just gets me.

Shows: Doctor Who, Game of Mutha Fokken Thrones, Lost Girl, Peep Show, Derek, Defiance, Louie, An Idiot Abroad, It's Always Sunny, Fringe, Workaholics, Grimm, The Big Bang Theory, Stargate SG1, The Twilight Zone, Warehouse 13, Rick and Morty, Beavis and Butthead, Phineas and Ferb... Try not to laugh too hard at that last one. I like to watch it when I'm going to bed.

Music: I love Elliott Smith, The Deftones, Sparta, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Eisley, A Perfect Circle, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Pixies, Nirvana, The Smiths, The Mars Volta, Portugal. The Man, The Shins, Devotchka, Noel Gallagher, Devendra Banhart, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, SPM, Regina Spektor, The Toadies, The Beatles, The Cranberries, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Saul Williams, Modest Mouse, Ginuwine, Johnny Cash,The Beach Boys.... just to name a VERY few... I'm a big fan of ''malt shop'' tunes, soul, blues, and good hip hop.

food: Beer. Chips and salsa. Soup. Sushi. Lemon. Meatballs. Veggie burgers. Rare steak. Wine (red preferably.) German potato salad. I have yet to find a type of cuisine I don't like. I would like to try more Indian food.
The six things I could never do without
Music, my car, my phone, my imagination, movies, and love. Yes I said love. One can only be alone for so long before they start feeling that void they wish they had filled. Whether it be love from family, friends, or lovers, it's nice to have that smile, hug, or endearing kiss on the forehead that expresses how they feel about you. Wow... I'm such a vagina. A big, gaping vagina. Also, going on with the whole love thing, love of life is also very important. I love life and all things in it. I don't know what I'd do with out that love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What kind of super powers I would have if I were an X-Man. But really, I daydream all the time. When I was a kid, the teachers used to snap their fingers at me and say, "Angela, time to leave Lala Land." I daydream of dancing. I daydream of future conversations. I daydream of future lovers.
On a typical Friday night I am
Nothing is ever typical. I might go out, I may stay in... No matter what I'm doing, I'm bound to have fun.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm afraid of the dark. The mind is a very powerful thing. My imagination makes me hallucinate some weird shit.

I'm terrified of riding bicycles on the street. Sidewalks are fine. When I was a wee lassie, I went for a bike ride, and prior to our ride, my sister told me that if I tried to brake while going down a hill, I'd fly forward. So here comes a hill... I'm flying down it, not using my brakes at all, and at the bottom of the hill is an intersection with a heavy traffic flow. I speed through it, barely missing oncoming cars. It freaked me out, and now I am afraid of riding bikes on roads.
You should message me if
You think we'd have a good time and you can make me laugh.

You look or sing like Jeff Buckley.

You want to serenade me with Jeff Buckley or Elliott Smith songs. It's okay if you don't sound like them.

You would enjoy taking a roadtrip to a shitty town.

You want to wander around the town catching Pokémon.

Do not message me if you're a flake. If you say you're going to do something, do it.

*** Saying something vague and impersonal like, "hi," or "what's up," will not get you a response. That is a promise.***
