My self-summary
Currently working/living in Irvine for the summer, visiting from Ann Arbor where I'm working on my Master's of Information Sciences degree (nerd alert!).

I like people that are genuinely themselves, embrace their quirks, are open-minded/adventurous (aka would not be upset by reading a Dan Savage column), quick to laugh, good-hearted, affectionate and have things they love sharing with others (though hopefully not needles).

Also, treating others with respect is hugely important to me, and I value others possessing that idealism. Basically, don't be a dick to other people.

I'm an outgoing introvert with sort of an odd sense of humor (e.g., The Room is one of the funniest things I've ever watched and I love Cards Against Humanity, but laffy taffy jokes still get me every time), previously lived in Minneapolis and Portland, have both nerdy and sporty interests along with no shortage of hobbies and career ideas.

I might also still have and play Mario Kart, though not with me in Irvine =(

Very non-judgmental and love chatting about anything. Space, sex, relationships, how people interact, etc. In other words, I once listened to a Neil DeGrasse Tyson podcast where he interviewed Dan Savage and though it was about the best thing ever.

Dating wise, I have a preference to focus on one person rather than than juggle multiple people even if it's something casual (though do not have that expectation of the person I am dating) and value strong communication and dependability. The probably sounds more serious than I am intending, but dating is much more positive and fun when there's respect and honest, open expectations =).
What I’m doing with my life
Working on my master's plus working while trying to generate some opportunities to engage in meaningful and unique experiences, like heading out to DC for a week to work with the open technology institute and on here in hopes of meeting someone to spend some time with and share some drinks, conversation or other activities during my time in Ann Arbor!
I’m really good at
Making tacos, saying things that are either inapproriate or obnoxiously punny (not sure which is more offensive there) and playing Rock Band even though people stopped playing that like, 6 years ago.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows: Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Psych, Parks and Recreation, Sherlock, Cosmos, Nature/Science documentaries like Nova, Drugs Inc and Bojack Horseman

Food: Love mostly everything, but especially breakfast foods, Indian, sweet potatoes, tacos, breakfast tacos, BBQ, cereal

Random other things: Playing guitar, photography, hiking (especially when I lived in Oregon), camping, road trips, flea markets filled with weird stuff and video games (the classics, rock band, mario kart, etc.)

Music: An odd blend...Trampled By Turtles, Avett Brothers, Jose Gonzalez, Blackalicious, Talib Kweli, Common, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Public Enemy, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Tears for Fears, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, C2C, Metallica, Agalloch and Iron Maiden among others.
The six things I could never do without
Good beer
Being outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The universe.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I own (and play) a game called Rapstar - a rap-centric karaoke video game. It's pretty fantastic.
