My summary. I have been fortunate to have been able to have followed my passions and travelled around the world for sport, for follie, for whimsey.
I am spontaneous to the point of deteriment, sometimes my actions have not resulted in the the optimum results.
FYI my spelling and grammer are quite horrendous appollogies in advance. I could spell check but then my true character would be altered by a computer.
I love to cook and believe a am quite good at it.
I am Irish in origin and not Boston Irish I moved here 22 years ago.
I like red wine. Whiskey over vodka. Port over Sautern any day.
Love sports and will go to any live game, if the opertunity arises.I am a total petrol head, but dislike cars that are just able to take left hand turns (Nascar). I may come off sounding like a jock from that description of myself but I am far from jockish.
Music and performance arts have been part of my life from a tender age but dont ask me to suffer jazz or country music.
Can be a geek. I do like toys but not computer games.
I have strong opions and try not to be opinionated.
That is a nutshell but there is a lot more.
Recently saw the Mikado great performance. The "Moonlight" sonata has to be one of my favorite pieces of music. Was a "Mod" as a teenager and still live the music from that scene, The Who, The Jam, Madness, Bowie. Genisis. My IPod has several thousand songs covering 6 decades of music.
My favourite TV show must be House MD, Hugh Laurie deliviers sarcasm and wit withe the timing of a swiss watch. In addition The Incredible Hulk is one that gets me each time i watch. The theme tune "The lonely man" inspired me to learn to play piano.
Also a fan of older English programs "Minder and Black Adder"
Not a huge movie buff, but the works of Guy Richie. "snatch, lot stock"etc are a must, so to is "In Bruge"
I have to be up front and admit I am a huge U2 fan and have seen them live on every tour since i was 15, I am not going to do the math. Also a bit of a new wave kid, shoot me it was the eighties.
Food - one of my pastimes I spent far too much time in that industry but it has left me with a passion. I have eaten every thing from Beattles in China to Roo meat in Austraila, have eaten some things and to this day have no idea what they were, I am adventurious when food is being tabled, If I had to decide on a cuisine of choice I guess it would be a meal where I could have oysters, sushi, Lamb birayini, BBQ Pork and a mountain of Mashed potato, followed by white and dark chocolate mousse and a bottle of Rafanelli Zinfandel to wash it down. That is not exactly a cuisine but it is as close as I can get.
Levis 501 (sorry again)
Rack of Lamb and mashed Yams
(a few days have passed and i still need to give it some more thought)
