My self-summary
When people first meet me, they don't always know how to handle my personality. I'm sweet, enthusiastic, and incredibly extroverted. If I spend an entire day without communicating with other people, I start to feel deprived of social interaction and need to remedy that by going out and chatting with the first person I meet. I laugh a lot and I ask pointed questions, because I'm curious about people and what makes them tick.

A typical weekday for me involves getting up at 6 or so, going for a quick run, getting ready for work while dancing around my apartment to some country music, going to work, meeting friends for a drink or at the rock gym, coming home to cook dinner, reading a book and going to sleep.

On the weekends...well... spontaneity is the best option, unless I've planned something out already. I'm great at planning things, but it's nice to just get up and go sometimes without thinking about it, you know?
What I’m doing with my life
I love life! And when I say that, I'm serious. Beauty and joy are everywhere and I try to appreciate them in whatever form they take. I spend as much time as possible doing fun things with the people I care about. I love my work and travel quite a bit for my job, so I can be tricky to pin down at times.
I’m really good at
Getting up early. I'm a morning person and I don't need coffee to be peppy and upbeat at 6 am. Also, I'm terrific at soothing friends who are upset and acting as a confidant. I'm fantastic at emoting and discussing feelings. You should be, too. Emotional maturity is sexy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm told that I'm "precious," and that I have a great smile/laugh. I smile tons. Also, they notice that I'm not shy about saying what's on my mind in the least offensive way possible, especially if someone asks for my opinion. I tend to be more direct than most people. Ok,'s not always in the least offensive way possible. Not sorry.

People also notice that I have large eyes, straight teeth and a laid back, accommodating temperament. I'm not what some people call "high maintenance."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a Mockingbird, Indian food, Oh, the Places You'll Go and all kinds of music. ALL kinds. I take music on a song by song basis and don't discriminate based on genre or popular appeal.

I'm not much of a TV watcher, but will catch up on Game of Thrones or The Big Bang Theory on a long flight. Movies...I'll watch them, but no guarantee I won't fall asleep if the subject matter isn't stimulating.
The six things I could never do without
My family, music, a cozy pair of wool socks, soy lattes, lip balm and blue jeans. Besides things number one and two, I'm sure there are plenty of others that are more important to me than the other four that I listed...but I just can't think of what they are right now. Oh! Hiking boots. My passport (but what a cliche, right?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How nice it would be to go outside for a walk, especially if it's a sunny day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends at a wine bar, staying in to watch a documentary or romantic comedy, doing laundry or on my way to someplace really on a backpacking trip or to the airport for a weekend jaunt.
You should message me if
You're a fan of great conversations. I might not be too chatty on this whole profile thingy, but in real life I'm a chatter-in-a-box!

In all seriousness, please message me if you're not only looking to hook up. If you're capable of talking about something other than your job, that's a good thing. Please be a little zesty. I love me some spice. No boring drones. I want you to be enthusiastic, optimistic and carefree (within reason). You should be a joyful person. And smart, funny, respectful and ambitious.

Or, if you aren't those things...well, we probably won't get along.

Also - I don't care how many countries you've visited. If you're just checking off items on a list for the Instagram pics, it means nothing. The ones who care more about people than places are the good ones. That said...I adore places, too.
