My self-summary
I am an artist and teacher who recently moved back to Portland from the Bay Area. I have been away 40 years! It has not been the easiest transition. But I think I am a pretty strong person. I like to plow through a problem so I can get to that great place of joy without baggage. I appreciate good communication skills.

I'll try and summate: I am passionate, creative, adventurous,
healthy, fit, compassionate, funny.
What I’m doing with my life
Portland has been an adventurous, growth spurt. I am having time to develop new interests and finding out what they are along the way. Since moving here in July 2012, I have been working in the schools as an art teacher with elementary, middle school students and adults with disabilities. I have co-created an arts collective of artists and writers with a social justice bent.

So what I am doing with my life is it fully, with my heart front and center. But I have to admit I miss having a partner in crime for spontaneous mischief. I have been seeking adventure by myself for awhile now, time for some company! You be good at you, I'll be good at me. Big fun!
I’m really good at
Creating something out of nothing, bringing people together, teaching art. I have taught art in elementary schools for the last 20 years. I am good at integrating math, science, and language arts into the lesson, enabling right brain learners a chance to grasp the concept. I am good at finding the spark in a kid.

I am good at entertaining myself. I like to sing, dance, write poems, take hikes, go to museums, do art. I am never bored.
The first things people usually notice about me
