My self-summary
I'm a person that strives to be more, to understand who I was, who I am and what I've got to do to be the better "who'll I be." Forward movement is important but with balance of being in the "now," vulnerable with strong boundaries and gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. I'm not saying I hit these targets every day...there might be a few weeks that seem a bit shaky...but I hope for an improving average!
What I’m doing with my life
Most of my time is spent teaching, learning, writing, recording, and performing music, getting in front of the challenges of having small businesses and achieving a proper balance in life. I'm working on using all of this life for the good of myself and anyone who may benefit.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at considering others, being aware and open when appropriate. I'm good at (but strive to be better) seeing the big picture...but not missing the small stuff. I believe I'm really good at teaching my students what they need to learn to benefit their musical/artist needs in the short, mid and long term...and in the way THEY need to learn. I'm also good at collaborating artistically with one or more people to make something bigger than the sum of the parts. I have been told I have patients of biblical proportion!
The first things people usually notice about me
That I appear to be different than the norm...? Hopefully a kind smile!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music has been, will continue to be a huge part of my life. I know all genres have amazing works...but rock and classical are most likely where I spend most of my time...but always looking for anything that makes me "feel" and is authentic!

Per itunes "Recently Played":
Tony MacAlpine, The Beatles, George Lynch, The Cult, Eric Johnson, Anthrax, Talking Heads, The Police, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, Cocteau Twins, 16 Horsepower, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, and Queen

Books...loved the insight from Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point, Blink, and Outliers! Walter Isaacson’s detail in both Benjamin Franklin and Einsteins biographies give an amazing perspective on one person’s ability to affect so many by being true to themselves.

Favorite movie – Forbidden Planet (1956) Early sci-fi with a “Wizard of Oz” budget…that no one went to see…but hugely influential.

Favorite food – Pizza, Mexican…simple stuff
Six things I could never do without
My daily existence requires:
- A guitar/metronome combination
- Coffee...or a coffee/chocolate combination
- Down-loadable accesses to Charlie Rose
- My simple car (gotta have wheels!)
- Music/Art
- Hope that "this day" will add to my past and future days, adding up to a great life for me and somehow everyone else
Extra Credit/Cheating - Watching the moon and stars far from the city lights...need to do this much more often!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The correct negotiation of time and energy of each day, adding those days up to make a life that's wonderful...that benefits everyone...yet costs no one...if at all possible.
On a typical Friday night I am
A Friday night could be checking out a local/regional act in a small venue, getting a bite to eat where it's comfortable to hang out and talk and or seeing a movie...but any night can be a "Friday night!"
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I believe this question has boundary issues... I'll save private things for private situations. ....ok, worms freak me out!

You should message me if my profile sounds like someone you want to know because I sound like someone familiar...but have never met...yet!
