About to move to the country later this year. I've recently developed a love for bush-walking. today i went to Kinglake national park and it was delightful. having a car really gives you that independence. its my first car in 23 years. i'm doing Qi gong and buddhist practice and study group.Just started a solo performance art piece, which is lots of fun, there's nothing like throwing your body around a performance space.
I love European films. My favorite era is the early 1970's.I have big soft spots for Andrei Tarkovski's Solaris, Carol Reed's The third man, and the most recent film that really has moved me most would be You, the living by Roy Anderson. I'm an auteur kind of feller, but i love a good Hollywood 1940's comedy and much as the next guy. I'd rather have an interesting story than special effects, or crash bang blow it up.
I have a lot of vinyl long players, and my taste goes from modern classical, to Hank Williams, from 60's pop to post punk. Here's a list: The Velvet Underground,Cluster,Richard Youngs,Bill Fay, The Free Design,Laughing Clowns, Popol Vuh, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Shin Joong Hyun,The Beach Boys, Scott Walker, Devo,This Heat, The Ancients, Rodney Cooper, Snawklor and many more.
In Melbourne we are lucky to have the food of the world here. Probably my favourite cuisines would be Ethiopian, Turkish, and Japanese. When i move country its the biggest thing i will miss.
I also love to cook especially when I'm entertaining friends. Qinoa fritters and bulimbimy are great, but so is a mung Bean Quiche, and Tsampa a simple Tibettan desert .
My collection of Vinyl long players.
Fresh Air and peace and quiet.
Close friends and family.
My beautiful blue car.
