My self-summary
I was raised in the South Bay and call it my home, Portland being the other one. I watch animated comedies on Adult Swim and old noir flicks wherever I can find them. I read comic books and epic fantasies. I like my Sci-Fi grim and nihilistic, but with just a dash of hope sprinkled somewhere in there. I like tomatoes, but only when they're in salsa, sauce, or ketchup form. I giggle when Dirk Nowitzki shoots his awkward fadeaway, and gawk when Frank Gore continues to turn back the clock.

I'm not much of a clubber, but I adore the bar counter and a pint of Blue Moon. I enjoy the outdoors when it's not allergy season and video games when it's the fall release season. I like to dress down when I'm lounging in for a quiet night, but will dress up for a geek convention.

I did math in school and now write at work. I like good grammar, but understand that dangling participles and too many commas can happen to the best of 'em.

What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with my Master's in Electrical Engineering. Yes, I do kind of use it at work. Keep reading.

I work as a technical writer for an established technology company in the Valley, which is something I can see myself doing until I retire. It's a stable job and pays very well, which is always a plus. Combining a technical background with the ability to write grammatically and with brevity, as well as communicating very technical information effectively to a wide audience, is something that interests me, and I am thankful that I picked this career path. :)

Recently, I also work for a local literary convention in Walnut Creek called FOGcon. We chat about speculative fiction, because speculative fiction is cool.

I dabble in this curious thing called cosplay.
I’m really good at
... telling you useless pop culture knowledge. Seriously... ask. I wouldn't call myself the best at anything (that would be arrogant), but I am pretty good at a lot of things, including (and not limited to) cooking, writing, running, drawing stick figures, and carrying on a conversation like a normal person.
The first things people usually notice about me
... is how incredibly "yellow-on-the-outside, white-on-the-inside" I am. But then how could I be anything else? When your favorite TV shows as a kid include DuckTales, Salute Your Shorts, and Rocko's Modern Life, you are 'Murican. No more, no less.

Then I tell them my age, and they go bug-eyed at how young I look.

And how tall I am.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
... my career, the prospects of purchasing a home, financial stability, the possibility of furthering my education even more, geek conventions, and whether I'll ever have the time to get back into gaming or anime.

Also, if Goku and Superman got into a fight, who would win?
On a typical Friday night I am
... in SF or at home playing Puzzle and Dragons. ^^
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once unknowingly entered a stranger's car as a pre-teen.
You should message me if
... you like messages typed with correct grammar and not, "AY GURL! LEMME HOLLA AT CHU!" Ahem...
