It's still true.
Like a lot of people, I'm unsure how well I can sum myself up in this little text box. So get to know me, maybe?
DMV native, politically progressive pragmatist.
ENFP, although the Meyers-Briggs is evidently bullshit.
Lately, I've been making an effort to get fitter. Running doesn't suck as much as I thought it would. Consistency is the thing I need to work on. It would be great to have someone to encourage, and be encouraged back, honestly.
Oh, all right. I'm reasonably good at graphic design, cooking (given a recipe), writing, and procrastinating. I'm semi-good at a lot of things, but I'd like to master one or two of them.

(Yes, I know that's 13.) My tastes are all over the damn place, really. You're welcome to rummage through my record collection. Pretty sure you'll find something you like. (You know what hell is? Hell is realizing you ripped all your CDs at 128K and now you have to re-rip all of them)
Books: Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, Focualt's Pendulum, Cryptonomicon, anything by Heinlen, Lovecraft, micro-histories...Look, I have a book problem too, ok? I also have a basement full of comics and graphic novels, and a crap-ton of games.
Podcasts: Planet Money, America's Test Kitchen, Radiolab, The Alton Browncast, There's No Such Thing As A Fish, Invisibilia, Ken & Robin Talk About Stuff.
Food: I will try pretty much anything once, and keep eating it again if I like it.
Movies: I love movies, although I've gotten out of the habit of going to them very often. Thank goodness for large TVs. Generally I have a special focus on sci-fi and fantasy movies, monster movies (no torture porn horror, please), and Asian cinema, usually (but not always) of the action variety. (Through methods I cannot specify, I've acquired most of the 60s-80s output of the Shaw Brothers Studios, and am trying to watch them all. If this sounds like fun to you, extra points.)
TV: I've been terrible about getting hooked on any series TV, so I'm kind of culturally stunted when it comes to any of the current hotness. Stranger Things, Legion and Rick & Morty are high on the "get caught up on" list. I've been known to watch a fair amount of baseball and hockey as well, when left to my own devices.
I'm a pretty ardent fan of fine, lowbrow and outsider art, pinup art and photography, and illustration. I'm running out of wall space in my house. I might have to start rotating things.
My tumblr name is atomicovermind, should you care to get an idea of some of my aesthetic tastes.
And the number of people on here who both "work hard" and "play hard".
I own more clothing related to my fictional alma mater than my real one.
My relationship with Halloween is best described as complicated.
Outside of that, I don't tend to admit private things on the Internet. But I have some private things.
You're broad-minded and intellectually curious.
You are, at the very least nerd-friendly.
You can deal with a moderately hateful cat.
Also, when the word "vacation" is mentioned, the first thing that comes to your mind isn't "Disney".
