My self-summary
Male RN and assemblage artist/painter moving somewhere, probably in the Hudson Valleybefore the end of November.. I'm a pretty avid golfer and interested in financial markets, cinema, and a host of other things. I read books and collect (and play) vinyl records. I vend stuff on eBay. Love antiques and collectibles and use many "found objects" in my wall-mounted assemblages. Oh, and fantasy football--yeah, I'm one of THOSE. I'm moving from Eureka, CA (way up toward Oregon) and its going to be a pretty epic move, to say the least. I'll be looking to rent a furnished place (with a garage to store my stuff) at first, and if things work out, I'll buy something.

I'm single, no kids, and would like to make some friends, and maybe meet a special one (or more.)

The nickname "Atticus" comes from having played Atticus Finch in a local production of "To Kill a Mockingbird "a few years ago. With a couple of drinks in me, and if you ask nicely, I might be persuaded to do the courtroom scene closing argument...at least as much as I remember. It's a a beautiful speech, but a long one--about 2 1/2 pages.

Anyway, that's it. Signing off, for now. But don't forget about me. I'm heading in your direction. So, if any nice local Tampa-area women (a little kooky and eccentric is fine) want to show me around a bit well, I'd be much obliged. And I promise to behave myself.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in health care. My two main hobbies are art and golf. I go to the gym most days. I love yard sales, movies, photography, and I collect vinyl records. Assemblage---I have been creating, and exhibiting sculptural, wall-mounted, assemblages made from found objects. I've sold about 50 so far. I have website.
I’m really good at
Creative things (visual arts, writing) and brainstorming. I'm also pretty good at trivia games.

I'm a decent golfer. Once upon a time I was an 8 handicap. Now I'm a 20. I can still hit the ball a long way. Keeping it in play is my only problem. I need to play morre.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my height, my bright yellow sneakers. People tell me a look a lot younger than my age. Some just can't believe it. I guess my immaturity is finally paying off, appearance-wise.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books--Into thin Air (have read a ton of books on mountaineering and survival in extreme circumstances)
I've always liked Tom Wolfe, John Updike, George Plimpton, John Feinstein, good sports books.
Movies-Scorcese--Goodfellas, The Departed, Casino, Raging Bull, etc.
Almost all Coen Brothers...many, many others.
Music-Currently listening to Radiohead, Morphine, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, The Pogues, Richard Thompson, The Cure.
The six things I could never do without
excitement of doing and seeing new things
family and friends
creating
good, fresh food
sex (OK...I said it)
interesting women
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I want to do in the future, and where I want to do it.

Apropos of nothing, here are 2 nursing school ideas for possible band names..."Exudate" (might be good for a folk or bluegrass duo) and "Valsalva Maneuver" (thinking heavy metal on this one?)
On a typical Friday night I am
could be almost anything or nothing...mostly legal
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
One of the stranger jobs on my diverse "career path," was working as production assistant for a series on The Playboy Channel for a summer.
You should message me if
If you are single, female, and... well...that's about it...
