I would like to say, though, that the series really started to take a dive at season 4. Most fans view this as the series' true beginning, and it also marks the beginning of the series' descent into absurdity, a descent from mild pessimism into a freewheeling, giggling nihilism.
Like most white people, I like hummus and guacamole. I especially like hummus on Ak-Mak. I like saying Ak-Mak. A cream cheese and cucumber sandwich with sprouts really hits the spot (I like cucumber everything, basically).
I eat store-brand unsweetened cheerios for breakfast, with store-brand unsweetened soy milk.

I really want to be a contestant on The Price is Right. In an ironic way. It's a pretty good expression of a consumerist dystopia: a show where you win lots of money for slavishly following pricing trends and being the ultimate shopper, and the audience has a bunch of product placement thrown in their faces, and then watch ads sponsored by the channel in between segments.
Supermarket Sweeps ranks pretty high as well, but I don't think that's in syndication anymore.
I'm not actually a communist, btw.
