If I could talk to plants, I would sit down right in the middle of a grove, and ask if I could stay.
And I think they would say "By all means. Take as long as you want. B)"
I would remain motionless for ten years, and my plant friends would give me their extra sugar in thanks for my abundant CO2. Remaining respectful neighbors, we wouldn't say too much.
After ten years, when I stood to leave they'd ask "are you leaving so soon?"
For a plant's reckoning of time is far different from our restless human's viewpoint.
