What I’m doing with my life
I've been a freelance videographer since 2012. I had steady a gig doing educational videos for the past couple years, but this year I'm starting on more project based work. We'll see how that goes. Also, working on getting my recently finished short into festivals and trying to figure out what my next big creative project is going to be.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh
Shooting & Editing Video
Philosophical Conversation
Writing (scripts & hyperbolic monologues)
Tetris (challenge me! I dare you!)
The first things people usually notice about me
My red beard, my somewhat less red long hair, my near complete lack of melanin, and probably my initial social awkwardness.

And when I've worn my tight pinstripes, I've been told I have a nice ass.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MOVIES: I love Sci-Fi, Fantasy, German Expressionist film, Post-apocalyptic, suburban meltdown, certain Action movies, Anime, and films that really get into the deep and nitty gritty of what it means to be human. That and things that are weird/surrealistic.

DIRECTORS/WRITERS I really dig: Jan Svankmeyer, Kevin Smith, Don Hertzfeldt, Terry Gilliam, Michel Gondry, Stanley Kubrick, Harry Smith, Christopher Nolan, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, David Lynch, George Miller, David Cronenberg, Charlie Kaufman, Richard Linklater, Alan Ball, and yes George Lucas (keeping in mind that a number of people aside from him helped make the original Star Wars Trilogy great).

TV: Game of Thrones, Firefly, The IT Crowd, Doctor Who, Star Trek (TNG & DS9 mainly), The Mighty Boosh, The Daily Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus. The Venture Brothers, Archer. Basically: Sci-fi, fantasy, comedies, political satire, and cartoons for adults. I also love a good nature or anthropology doc.

AUTHORS: Robert Anton Wilson, Kim Stanley Robinson, Patrick Rothfus, Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Frank Herbert, Douglas Adams, William Gibson, and Phillip K. Dick.

MUSIC: Radiohead, Nirvana, Eskmo, The Beatles, Coco Rosie, NIN, Sun Araw, Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Chemical Brothers, etc. So yeah, various eras and flavors of rock and electronic music and all sorts of ambient and experimental music.

FOOD: I'm not vegetarian, but I do tend to not eat a lot of meat. I like food from various cultures and regions, although I'm not big on Greek or Korean fare.
The six things I could never do without
1. Good Friends

2. Green, natural surroundings

3. Some rich source of information (Whether it's the Internet, a library, or one of those rare books that you get something new out of every time you read it)

4. Caffiene (I keep trying to quit, and it keeps pulling me back in)

5. The essentials (food, water, clothing, shelter, yes I'm cheating this whole list thing)

6. A sense of wonder and curiosity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Science (mainstream & weird), ecological problems & solutions, various philosophical questions, mysteries, and quandaries, stories for screenplays, potential optical fx experiments, politics, methods of altering consciousness, gaming, sex and the possibilities of tantric sex, and what the future is going to look like.
On a typical Friday night I am
At this point? Probably editing. But I occasionally escape the cave to go to a bar, a movie, or a show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a kid I was a Super Mario freak. So much so, that I made my parents take me to the Super Mario Icecapades.

If you're looking for something more personal, you'll have to get to know me better.
You should message me if
-you are a creative type, geek, nerd, burner, scientist, or fellow weirdo

-you want to get to know each other over some sort of libations or a bowl of fine greenery.

-you want to wander around on an urban hike or wax philosophical into the wee hours of the morning.

-you value sincerity and passion more than obligation

Deal Breakers:

-You live outside of Seattle

-You have children (Sorry, but I'm not looking to become a father figure.)

-Polyamorous (I don't have anything against poly people, but I've been the monogamous terminating branch on other people's poly trees enough times to know that it's not for me.)

-Zealots (both religious and secular)

-Hate mongers: (eg. racists, homophobes, gun nuts, etc.)
