I consider myself diverse for many reasons. I served have served in the military for 8+ years and have seen things and met people that have impacted my life in extraordinary ways.
I love to travel, explore new places, and new things. To me, it gives one a better understanding of the world.
I enjoy the simple things. I love camping, hiking, or just hanging out in the woods with a good fire. Everywhere I have lived has offered me some chance to explore the outdoor world. I love being outside (even when it is snowing like crazy) and I often make the effort to spend my free weekends in the mountains hiking, rock climbing, or something of similar nature.
I enjoy the occasional city scene but I am not too crazy about the hustle and bustle of society these days. I usually try to keep to myself and enjoy the small things in life. I try to stay away from fads and the "in" things. Remaining humble and staying out of the craziness of life is important to me.
I do enjoy the "coffee shop" life; Hole in the wall coffee shops are a weakness of mine. Most often you can find me somewhere like this nose deep in a book or my computer. I also enjoy small quiet pubs on occasion. I am not a big drinker, but an occasional Blue Moon or glass of top shelf scotch is a nice treat.
I love my first cup of coffee in the morning and my favorite season is fall. Something about apples, pumpkins, the cold damp air in the morning and the crunch of the morning frost under your feet bringing on the welcoming of winter is awesome. Sometimes the simplest things in life bring me the most joy.
On the weekends, I love to get up early, jump in the car with my camera, have my cup of coffee on the road, and drive to wherever my heart desires. I like to be prepared for everything and anything that might come up. A quick hike, or a long somewhat intense hike to the summit or maybe even a day walking down a creek are things I enjoy. One of these days I will get a roof rack on my car so I can carry a kayak with the intent of driving towards any random blue spot on the map and getting lost for a day. Rain doesn't bother me, I get to see more wildlife than most on rainy days. I love to stop along on the way in small towns, and see what it has to offer.
What I am looking for and some thing's you should know:
I'm kind of at that point where I'll know when I find it. I am not in a hurry to settle down, or settle for someone that I know will not make me happy.
I'd like someone willing to experience new things yet continue to do the old, who works hard for whatever she has and appreciates me and what I have to offer. Ultimately I need someone who wants to be loved and supported in what they do, but I also need someone strong willed enough to push me, keep me motivated, and bring me to my best even when the going gets rough. Let's be honest, a relationship has to be a friendship first and support is where it starts.
Someone willing to have an adventure, wherever that may be. And of course, there has to be some sort of attraction, or chemistry.
You should also know that I work a lot, and that will never change. But, I feel like my background is for further conversation.
When I get the chance, I love to escape. Nowhere in particular, just anywhere that gets me out of the city and towns. I am a firm believer that everywhere has something to offer and I am always ready to pack a bag and get away.
If this sounds like someone you would like to know, let me know!
- Tackling my job day to day and saving my pennies for a rainy day.
- Pursuing a degree in cyber security (while also working full time in the same field)
- Rock Climbing and hiking on the weekends (weather permitting).
I don't have a lot of other things preoccupying my time, so the only thing I have left to do outside of work is study until something more important comes along.
As well, I am very passionate about my photography hobby and everything that goes along with it.
I like to read all sorts of stuff. I can't say I have a favorite book.
I like the typical guy stuff, action-adventure, military, sci-fi, lots of bullets, pretty women, gore, etc. Probably the military in me that likes it.
Music = Everything.
I like just about everything, as cliche as that sounds.
I will try anything once. If it wont kill me I will eat it. :D
I think cheesecake and sushi would fall into my favorites list...
My glasses! Yes, I am blind...
And I will stoop to it... My computer. Without it, I would not be able to accomplish much. It is kind of sad how much we come to depend on our technology!
I also spend a lot of time thinking about work, and how I can improve my quality of life so that I can benefit those around me.
~ You are passionate about art and/or music. If you paint, shoot a camera, or play an instrument sing that's a huge bonus!
~ You are into the outdoors
~ You are ready to be in a committed relationship without playing games.
And please note:
If you are not willing to meet in person at some point, then please go to the next profile. Honestly, what's the point of me typing all of this out if you are not willing to meet whoever you are talking to?
