My self-summary
Central Valley born, recently returning from a 16 year hiatus, 13 of which were spent in San Diego. I'm on here because I am looking to expand my horizons to find someone who can challenge me and enjoy the amazing wonders that life has to offer. I'm over the traditional channels of meeting girls in bars as it hasn't been extremely fruitful for me. Hopefully this site helps me connect with quality people and perhaps the girl I've been holding out for. I've never been married and I don't have children, but I am definitely at the point in my life I am ready for someone to complete me. I'm not the kind of guy that needs someone to make me happy, but being single has definitely lost a lot of it's luster.

I'm a fan of an active lifestyle. I'm always down to camp, hike, beach cruise, snowboard, travel, etc...I've been to Europe twice for solo backpacking trips and can't reccomend it enough. I love music and I've played the drums since I was nine. I know how to treat a woman and make her feel special. I am loyal and protective; I don't let just anyone in my circle, but If you make the cut, I have your back no matter what. I grew up in a small town in NorCal, so I know how to make boring situations fun. I make myself laugh all the time and love spreading that to others.
What I’m doing with my life
Management in the information technology realm. I have a masters in counseling and you'd be impressed by the similarities of my training and current job essentials. It's actually pretty great to apply skills learned in school that allow me to utterly geek out on two things I love; developing people and technology.
I’m really good at
quoting movies...
witty comebacks...
discovering new music...
playing the drums...
making people laugh...
making new friends...
seeing both sides of a story...
making a mean cup of coffee...
picking out thoughtful presents...
creating a romantic evening...
making the best of any situation...
The first things people usually notice about me
I would say my gregarious nature. People gravitate towards and feel comfortable around me quickly. Perhaps this is because I carry my head high, I'm not afraid of a firm handshake and I look people in the eyes when I talk to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like things with substance.

Books: I don't read as much as I'd like to but anything with a good message or plot line will keep my attention. Big Fan of Malcolm Gladwell, Cormac McCarthy, Jack Kerouac, Aldous Huxley and John Steinbeck to name a few...

Movies: I love anything by Scorcese, Kubrick, Tarantino, Lynch, Ritchie, Lucas and Spielberg...Mob Movies, psychological thrillers and Horror flicks are probably among my favorites, but nothing beats a solid comedy.

Shows: I'm not a big tv fan, but I pretty much love every series that HBO, Showtime and AMC have released. I try to catch Sportscenter daily and am always down to watch a game of some sort and toss back a few cold ones...

Music: I literally love it all...I grew up on classic rock and branched out from there...went through virtually every genre possible...80's, 90's, reggae, grunge, alternative, indie, punk, metal, hardcore, rap, underground hip hop, jazz, oldies, trip hop, acid jazz, electronica, Ambient, dubstep, etc...I'm sure I can introduce you to something new that you'd dig...

Food: I'm not extremely picky on cuisine. My Favorites are Mexican, Itialian, Thai and Sushi...I'm always down to try a new spot and feel I have a solid handle on hidden gems around town.
Six things I could never do without
1. Perspective from the elderly
2. Spontaneous travel
3. Constant challenge
4. Nature's treasures
5. Personal interaction
6. Occasional indulgence
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Random fun facts to expand my ever growing mental database of useless knowledge.

Did you know...
Warwick Davis who played Willow was also Wicket from "Star Wars" and the Leprechaun from "The Leprechaun"?

On a typical Friday night I am
Out and about shooting pool over a few beers, checking out a live show or packing up the 4Runner for an impromptu weekend excursion.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The movie Rudy always makes me tear up.
