My self-summary
I kind of consider myself a "geek incognito." I'm into your typically "geeky" stuff: video games, sci-fi/fantasy, graphic novels, some anime, etc but I'm also pretty girly. Just by looking at me you might not think I have an extensive horror movie collection, I could kick your butt in multiplayer Goldeneye, or that I’m a huge Doctor Who fan. I love movies, books, art, and history. I have a degree in Historic Preservation and Art History from Goucher College though my heart belongs to my first school Emerson College in Boston where I studied creative writing. I'm always going somewhere, whether it's up to Boston to visit my friends, to San Francisco to visit my sister, or any place that's caught my interest. I've been known to hit up the occasional convention (Otakon and Monster Mania are favorites) and I will never say no to the aquarium or a museum. Then again I also have absolutely no problem sitting around the house playing video games, watching movies, or basically being just plain old lazy.

I’m definitely a goofball. When you’re around me I’ll make weird faces/actions/comments. I've been known to make up random songs about everyday activities, shout "Geese!" when I come upon a gaggle of them, put boxes on my head and pretend they're eating me, present you with the Elvis lip, or make some random noise.

I like laughing. A lot. Life's too short to be so serious. But, not going to lie, I love an intelligent conversation and am always up for a (friendly) debate.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m currently a dental assistant working for my father. It is not exactly where I want to be but family is important to me and so I’ve been helping out. That said, it isn’t where I’m going to be in two years.
I’m really good at
Falling asleep.

But for real: I consider myself a very creative person, great with crafts and the like. I'm a good writer and a great listener.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and my height. I'm tall, no joke. My friend wants me to include here that I have fantastic hair, I'm not sure the person reading this would even care about that but I will put it because she'll beat me otherwise. I can also be loud... you might hear me before you notice me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm going to try to sum it up the best I can:

Books - Top three would include The Great Gatsby, Phantom Tollbooth, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. I'm a fan SciFi and Fantasy, fiction, and young adult but I will pretty much read anything as long as it isn't just plain old crap. Does Walking Dead count as a book? I'm going with yes, so that's up there too.

Movies - Some of my favorites? Jaws, Jurassic Park, 8 1/2, The Thing, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Clue, Dawn of the Dead (the original), Marriage of Maria Braun, Moulin Rouge, Last Year At Marienbad, The Fifth Element, Suspiria, Alien, Aliens, Rocky (I, Balboa, III, IV, II, and V respectfully), P2, In The Mood For Love, Nightmare on Elm Street, Inception, Ghostbusters, Hellraiser, Cool Hand Luke, Singing in the Rain. Horror is my favorite genre though.

Shows - There's too many. Doctor Who, Community, Game of Thrones, New Girl, Parks and Rec, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Psych, Girls, Downtown Abbey, Futurama, White Collar, Venture Bros, Justified, True Blood, Mad Men... the list goes on. Finished favorites? Arrested Development, Buffy, Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, Star Trek TOS and TNG, Alias, Flight of the Conchords, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The Muppet Show, the X Files, first season of the Walking Dead.

Music - I really do love all types of music; if I put my iPod on shuffle it may make your head explode, literally. But I can't live without Jack White (that includes The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Dead Weather), The Clash, and Arcade Fire. Other favorites: Nirvana, Tommy and the Highpilots, Kate Nash, The Cribs, Franz Ferdinand, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bob Dylan, Muse, Tom Petty, and The Smiths. I'm currently digging The Airborne Toxic Event, Grouplove, and AWOLnation. Old or new, pop or indie, I'll most likely listen to it.

Food - I can't trust a person who doesn't like food. I will never turn down Mexican or Spanish food, I love Asian cuisine, and of course, I can not survive without good old pizza. I guess I should add that I’ve been on Weight Watchers over the past year and half and have currently lost forty-five pounds and still losing more. I've developed a much healthier lifestyle and it's very important to me.
Six things I could never do without
Friends and family (especially my nephew, he was born just last year and he's pretty much the f-ing coolest thing ever.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The zombie apocalypse.

Why people can't seem to write using real words and correct grammar anymore.

How Ten is the best Doctor.

The places I would like to travel and why no one has invented a teleportation device yet.

The future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing video games, drinking wine and hanging with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm genuinely afraid of E.T. Don't laugh!
You should message me if
You're not dumb and you can make me laugh. And I’m looking for someone who can handle/likes a combination of weird and girly, intelligent and fun.

Also, I’m not looking for a hook-up. People interested in relationships only please. I don’t even mind at all if all that happens is we become friends. Considering a lot of my friends live out of state it would be nice to have more people to hang out with. But if you want nothing more than one night, move on, sir.

Or... you're a mad scientist.
