My self-summary
Life happens, so here I am. I've had some incredible experiences, I love what I do, and I've mostly got my shit together. I've been in New York for a long time now, but I'm from Cleveland and I'm not embarrassed! It's an awesome place to be from (and visit once in a while).

I'm a lot more laid back than I used to be. That doesn't mean I don't like to party until the sun comes up from time to time, because I definitely do, but some nights are for staying in, drinking wine, and being lazy at home. Or doing crafty projects. Or inventing mixed drinks.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a content producer; that is, I create videos for businesses. I work on film and TV sometimes, but more as a diversion and creative outlet.

I'm really into color theory at the moment. And while it's mostly professional, it's fascinating.
I’m really good at
Drinking coffee at regularly scheduled intervals, petting my dog, taking pictures, making movies, cooking, baking bread, and accurately predicting the next line of dialogue on TV shows. I can sew, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard. It's red and fabulous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've really gotten into sci-fi in the last few years, from the original X-Files to Westworld (seriously, how good is this show???). And I have to mention Star Trek. The TV shows. The quality of the movies has always been debatable. I also have an embarrassing fondness for romantic comedies. Finally, I prefer British TV to American TV, particularly mysteries and police procedurals. I've seen pretty much all of them.

As someone in the industry, I'll watch just about anything, even if it's just to see how it was shot. I love going to the Angelika and watching indies or finding something terrible on Netflix/Hulu to make fun of. Every see "The Final Girl?" How did Abigail Breslin get tricked into that?

I don't read as much as I used to, but I do read and I'm well read. I recently read "The Brief Wondrous Life Of Oscar Wao" and was blown away. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I'm currently rereading some of my favorite Russian lit (Pushkin) and accepting suggestions on what to read next.

Food? It's great. I actually went to culinary school once upon a time, so I'm a pretty solid cook and tend to eat at home a lot. Cooking for one is depressing, so I like eating out/getting delivery more than is reasonable. I really like cooking for other people, though, so I will feed you.
Six things I could never do without
1. My family
2. A video camera
3. My dog
4. Red wine
5. Black jeans
6. Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to sneak my dog into fine restaurants, the upcoming season of Game Of Thrones, politics (unfortunately), whether my closet contains enough black, and whether or not I should use "summer" as a verb.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably staying in to decompress after a long week, though I can be convinced otherwise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a secret fondness for made-for-TV Christmas movies.
You should message me if
You want to put down your phone for a little bit and actually get to know someone.
