My self-summary
If there must be a policy, it should be one of honesty.

I am intensely curious, and thus highly inquisitive.

I'm the type of person that will cry with you.

I want everyone to have the freedom to be themselves without the threat of judgement, ridicule, or persecution.

I am thoroughly amused by little details that many take for granted.

Homogenization is dangerous; don't be afraid to be an individual.

Kindness is important! Be the positive energy you wish to see in the world!

I quite enjoy poetry. (Not only reading, but writing and discussing as well.)

Yes, this profile is relatively brief. Keep reading to find the reason.
What I’m doing with my life
I am an English (Creative Writing) major, working on my bachelors. Almost done!
Currently hunting for a new job.
I’m really good at
Being a considerate human.
Archery. More specifically target shooting - I don't believe in hunting animals for sport.
I'm a decent snowboarder.
Appreciating minute details that others might think insignificant. The little things can sometimes be the most important or profound.
Strategy games and RPGs.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tell me that I don't look my age?
I'm a little odd, but in a good way. ;)
My awesome hair?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I rather enjoy discussing these sorts of things, so I'm only going to briefly list a few of each here. I welcome discussions on food, films, music, and literature.

Movies: The Big Lebowski, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pulp Fiction, A Clockwork Orange, Beetlejuice, et cetera.

Music: I truly am not exaggerating when I say that my musical tastes are EXTREMELY broad; I enjoy music ranging from the medieval period, all the way up through recent times. Basically anything but country and most pop. To name a few of my any time anywheres: Type O Negative, HIM, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, A whole bunch of 80s stuff, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dead Can Dance, Sisters of Mercy, The Smiths, Anything by Brendon Small (yes, of course this includes Dethklok), Pink Floyd, a whole bunch of 60s and 70s stuff... Honestly, this is a topic probably best discussed in an actual conversation.

Books/Literature: East of the Sun West of the Moon, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Inkheart, Almost everything by Poe, The Scottish play (Macbeth), Hamlet, M.G. Lewis' The Monk, Rebecca, Bukowski's The Last Night of the Earth Poems, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Bukowski anything really, Plath, Sexton, A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, Stargirl (and the sequel), Planet Janet, Vampire Diaries (the books are WAY better than the show), the Artemis Fowl series, Yvain, AND OH MY GOD BEOWULF.
Side note; I'm that dork that LIKED doing the Canterbury Tales in school...

Television: Aeon Flux (the cartoon series), Invader Zim, Lucy Daughter of the Devil (seriously underrated show), Venture Brothers, Moral Orel, Metalocalypse, The Addams Family (both the cartoon and live action shows), Beetlejuice (the cartoon), Courage the Cowardly Dog, Aaahh!! Real Monsters, Futurama, Super Jail, Warrior Princess Xena, Bob's Burgers, Archer, Squidbillies, The Munsters, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rick and Morty, Bojack Horseman, Looney Tunes, Off the Air, Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Rocco's Modern Life, Breaking Bad, Gargoyles, Trailer Park Boys... In case you can't tell - I really like cartoons.

So much for keeping it to just a few...
The six things I could never do without
Vegetables. Seriously, I f*cking love vegetables.
A hair brush.
A good pen.
Intellectual stimulation. Though, I am more than proficient at creating my own, so I am seldom if ever bored.
Clean water. My relatively easy access to it is something that I don't like to take for granted.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The weird that is humans.
Being outside when I am stuck inside.
Halloween; It is quite literally the only 'special' day of the year that I care about... I don't even like my birthday. >>"
On a typical Friday night I am
Either working or being 420 friendly.
You should message me if
You're curious and want to learn more.
You're an intelligent someone looking for a mutually intelligent someone.
You're also the type of person that loves putting a smile on someone's face.
You like when a person is comfortable with who they are.
You have similar tastes. (Though, that should be implicit.)

Yes, this profile is relatively brief, and even chilly in tone, but there's a reason for that. I find that I often lose my patience for the creepy, and even predatory messages one may sometimes receive here, so I frequently take sanity breaks from OkC to keep the creepiness from getting too overwhelming. If you're genuinely interested in more than just a body part or two, then feel free to message me if you'd like. I'll likely get back to you, it just may take a while.

Congratulations! You've defeated the final boss and reached 'The End'!
Bonus round: send me a message; tell me what your favorite organism is and why you like it. Can be plant or animal.
