My self-summary
I am that I am...
Which is to say a thinker, a ultimate thrower, a man, not a plan nor a canal nor a palindrome. An Alaskan, a Portlander, a world citizen. A human being subject to inter-subjectivity. One who wishes his words could transcend. A rock climber, a book reader, a cook, a political mind. One who plays many parts but hopes not to exit too soon even when the line reads exuent.
Me? probably.

I laugh at this description of my self.
What I’m doing with my life
I've moved back to AK after getting my degree in Portland. I've been doing political work but now I'm a sous chef. Later I'm going to figure out what to do with my life in a way that makes the world better. I'm guessing that will take 6 months tops.
I’m really good at
Logic-ing shit.
Gerund-ing prior and present shit.
Getting a turf/dirt/road burn from ultimate frisbee on my left leg between once and twice a year every year.
The first things people usually notice about me

Six things I could never do without
I'm tempted to just quote maslow's hierarchy of needs but for now at least: friends, books, cooking, my computer, mountains by water and painful shoes (cleats, ski boots, and rock shoes)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
complex systems in all their varieties. I like philosophy, biology and astronomy. I am intrigued by gender, power and control. my degree was in political science. I like video games and board games and figuring out the perfect run down the mountain (then putting on my skis and skiing it). I want to know not just the facts of things but how they interrelate and how to make changes to affect outcomes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging with my peeps with a roughly equal chance of being out at a bar or being on someones floor nerding out over video games or card games or what have you.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have written melancholic poetry for myself.
You should message me if
You want to go dancing (swing, salsa, just at a club or whatever). Or if you want to go rock climbing or hiking or something fun outside.
Or if you want to discuss sample size in a bar.
Or play nerd games on the floor.

If you want to cook together you shouldn't message me - rather you must message me.

If you have a problem with feminism, lgtbq rights, or science please don't. First- why? Second - no we will not get along. Finally, if you don't have A problem with science but you have problemS with science, (publishing bias am I right?) we'll probably get along.
