My self-summary
Okay, so... BJ (that's his name) didn't feel comfortable talking about himself on here, so he has allowed me to help him with this (my name is 'jazzymarch' on here - I've known BJ for about 15 years).

While I did fill out his profile (some of the profile questions below, I had to get him on the phone), he took all of the tests/quizzes himself.

Circa 1998:
When I first met BJ, he was probably 15 years old. He was wild/insane. He used to wear great big pants (remember JNCOs?) and had short/buzzed blonde hair with two long pieces at his brow (so they looked like devil horns). He also sported a giant (real) bicycle chain in lieu of a wallet chain that he consequentially cut/bloodied up his leg with. He loved the song "The Safety Dance" and could occasionally get so hyper he would bite anyone. Yes, I said he'd BITE people.

Let's fast forward to 2010:
BJ is one of the rare and the few who hasn't lost what it means to be young. Although he doesn't bite people and isn't quite as hyperactive, he still loves to joke & laugh like a madman. He told me to add that he has a childlike sense of wonder - because it makes him smile to say it. He will party with the best, but he never drinks to get drunk. He is tame in most respects; he's laid back, never has issues with people (unless it's something serious and undeniably awful), he's a GREAT listener, and he loves bad jokes & really cheesy pick up lines. He will (and can) talk about anything. ANYTHING.

In BJ's own words (I'm copy/pasting this from his Facebook page):
Most call me weird. I don't believe that I'm weird. Maybe I look at things differently than most or maybe I live by a different standard. It is true that I am not the average bear, but that is what I enjoy most about my personality. I know that most things people call common are actually not, such as common sense and common decency. I am uncommon. I laugh when physical ails befall. What would crying or whining do? I try to do or say something completely random daily. When someone makes a funny or confused face it makes me smile. I make at least one person smile daily. If I can make someone smile that only makes my day brighter and that one laugh may save them from a horrible day. I look at everyday no matter the weather as beautiful, because I am alive to enjoy it. I learn something new daily. If not I feel my day is wasted. I try to talk to my friends daily, to lend support to their day and I understand the value of friendship. Call few people friends and even fewer enemies. I let the things that do not matter truly not matter. There is no point in wasting my time over things that cannot be changed. I will just take it as a compliment to be called weird.

FYI: Just to clue you in on how open-minded & awesome BJ is, we are 35% enemies (and probably rising) on this site. In real life, we have never had a single argument, and any views that we disagree on, he is always willing to listen, respect, and have an intellectual debate without any insult.
What I’m doing with my life
He is attending college, working as a security guard, and occasionally substitute teaches Psychology 200. He usually just devotes his time to work, but he tries really hard to make time for his friends & family.
I’m really good at
Making people smile/laugh. BJ won't hesitate to dance around in the rain. I captured it on video recently, it was fantastic!
The first things people usually notice about me
15 years ago.. the first thing I noticed about BJ was his crazy hair, his huge smile, and his weird clothes - but I always notice people's clothes. Now that I know him so well, the first thing I notice is his smile. No matter what's going on in his life, he's smiling.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Okay - I had to get him on the phone for this one.

Books - The Art of War, anything by R.A. Salvatore, The Pearl

Movies - Requiem for a Dream, The Nines, He Died with a Felafel in His Hand, Pi (π), Waking Life, Being John Malkovich, Donnie Darko, What Dreams May Come, World's Greatest Dad, Hitchhikers Guide..

Music - Punk covers of 80's music, underground hip-hop, anything that has meaning to it as long as it's not some kind of mainstream (money, hos, etc.) crap. My musical tastes are fairly open.

Food - Gazpacho, prime rib, a good medium-rare steak (more on the 'rare' side), brownies with pecans, extra sharp cheddar cheese, sushi, fruits (any fruit), & veggies.
Six things I could never do without
He says he couldn't do without:
He is excluding necessities (food/water), he says those are a given.

- True Friends
- Soap
- A clean pair of drawers (pronounced "draws")
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- iPhone
- Family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"Human nature."
On a typical Friday night I am
Anything - he could be out playing poker with some friends, at a party, or relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'd just like to say that after asking him this question, he continues giggling and telling me really disgusting things about picking his nose and gas.. and rubbing peanut butter on his nipples when he's lonely. Just so you know - I highly doubt he really does this. LOL.

He says in all honesty: "My one God-awful fear, other than lightning is dark water. If I can't see the bottom, it really bothers me. I mean, it really, really bothers me. I know it sounds funny, but dark water scares the s*** out of me."
You should message me if
BJ's words "'re not 5 shades of Crazy. I can handle 4 or less."

I think BJ deserves a sweet girl who isn't self-absorbed or immature. She should be willing to do the Safety Dance, have a HUGE sense of humor, and be supportive (in general). She should be content just watching movies on the couch, not a big party girl. Also, if you have basic spelling/grammar skills, and if you know the difference in the definitions of "ignorant" and "stupid".

Just be a super cool chick who all his friends will dig, please!!
