My self-summary
I'm here mostly for the tests. (Is that like saying I buy Playboy for the articles?) I'm married and I have two daughters, one who is still at home, so my life does not have any room for major new relationships.

But while I've been hanging out here, taking the tests and answering the questions and reading the profiles okcupid picks out for me, I've come across a lot of charming and interesting people. In the last few months I've been a member in good standing of the Cheddar Revolution. I attended all the amazing rallies as the Capitol last winter (I have an "I was there" button, and I know how to use it...), I worked on the recall campaigns, and I'm a fairly regular participant in the Sing-alongs at the Capitol.

Breaking news: I've been named 2011 "Person of the Year" by TIME magazine. If you want my autograph, feel free to ask.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people who meet me say they've seen me around town on my bicycle. (I do have a car, but I prefer to use my bike for transportation whenever possible.) Of course lots of people ride bikes in Madison; I'm the older bearded guy who doesn't play piccolo -- hope that helps.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
