My self-summary
My self-summary eh? Well, that's gong to take a while. I was born a poor black child.....

I've been involved with the music industry for most of my life, as well as F&B management and development. I've played music for a living and helped others do the same. My life has been filled with unique experiences and adventures, it's not over yet, not even close.

I'm an Agnostic Atheist. Which simply means, I don't "believe" in a deity, but I don't "know" if their is one. There's a difference between belief and knowledge and I don't claim to know the unknowable.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in the music business. I'm A&R and label manager for an independent record company. We put out vinyl for some well known artists. It's as awesome job and I am very fortunate to be doing what I do.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Brushing my teeth. Sleeping. Making quiche. Breaking that long, annoying silence in life. Playing devils advocate. Driving. Meeting your father. Writing melodies. Splelling. Picking the right/wrong things to say.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a tattoo of a unicorn jumping through a rainbow on my forehead, it's not hard to miss. I may have it removed someday, but i'm a slave to fashion and being that unicorn tattoos are in right now, I think I'll be sporting it for a while.

I'm also 6'4" and opposite of petite.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
From David Sedaris to Richard Dawkins. From The Jerk to Stranger than Fiction. From Spoon to The Beatles. I'm a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian, so I love Thai and Indian. My taste in music, film and art in general is vast.
The six things I could never do without
I'm going to read between the lines here and not list things like water and oxygen.

1) Air conditioning

2) A guitar

3) The ability to find information (internet or library)

4) Vegetarian options at restaurants

5) A dog in my life

6) The ability to have intellectually stimulating conversations with other people
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no typical Friday night for me. A Monday night can be just as fun as a Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I always cry when the "Oh captain, my captain" scene comes on at the end of Dead Poets Society. Bigots piss me off, I don't always keep that private.
You should message me if
You are just a little bit crazy. You have just enough grownupness but don't have Peter Pan syndrom. You are funny. You want to teach and learn. You can carry on a deep conversation and peel back layers to get to real answers.

You should NOT message me if....

1) You wear baseball caps with anything glittery on them (unless you're being ironic).

2) You watch a lot of sports on television and yell at the screen.

3) You have the word "Princess" in your profile name or you find the values of being a "Princess" virtuous.

4) You are socially conservative.

5) You feel praying is an effective way to solve problems.

6) You use the word "ghetto" often. Example: "Those jeans are sooooooo ghetto...."

7) You don't think changing views based on evidence is virtuous.

8) You lack empathy.

9) You have a case of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

10) You can't think for yourself and everyone around you makes decisions for you.
