My self-summary
I'm young and stupid, in a hurry to grow up but enjoying the ride, and i think way too much. I just graduated from Millsaps College in May with a double degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy! Intelligence turns me on, and I'm known for dating the nerdy type, at least if you ask ANY of my friends. I'm addicted to great conversation. What defines a great conversation? Well, it starts with a glass of good wine and generally involves some type of philosophical argument, particularly purpose and existence of God. I've developed my own opinions and enjoy arguing. (Not the type of fight arguing, the intelligent and firm, but friendly arguing.)

Lately, since I've graduated, my friends have been trying to get me to go out to the places to get a drink here in Jackson. Apparently that's what all the normal recent college grads do in order to find guys. ... and I'm on okcupid! Ha that's me though, I'll never turn down an opportunity to try something different! About the bar thing... I generally get really sick of it quick and run home to slip on some PJs and get back to my computer... believe me? (Yes, there are girls on the internet) But really, I'm more of a small group of people kind of gal. However, don't shy away form asking me out for drinks if you're interested! That rant is more directed at going out to look for men, if I go with one... well that's a different story!

I love a good pair of heels and feeling sexy. I believe I am truly one of a kind which is sometimes a bad thing, or I'm at least one of a kind down here in the South. I'm a born thinker and I know when to shut up and listen! Man, those types of people are very hard to come by in my opinion. Generally if someone is smart and knows it you never hear them shut up about themselves. THAT is one of my biggest turn-offs!

I also hate sponges and paper cuts! Ha, I'm actually overcoming the sponge phobia! Living alone without a dishwasher kind of forces your to develop immunity of some sort! Paper cuts; eeesh, yep they still give me the heebie jeebies. I have to be really craving Macaroni Grill in order to go there, that paper they put on the table is terrifying!

I LOVE traveling, but seriously... who doesn't? Another great thing about my college (and the past few years of my life)... I have been all over the place (at least for someone who hadn't really been anywhere before) thanks to either my college directly or the people I have met. In the past years I've been to NYC, All over England, The greater parts of the Mid-West, Israel, and this summer? GREECE! ... Ok, let's be serious. Greece was not all that I thought it was going to be... mostly due to the trip, not the country! I did get to scratch something off of my bucket list however! Maybe I'll tell you what that was ...eventually.

I am exuberant, understanding, and plain silly
What I’m doing with my life
Right now? Well how nice of you to ask since I hate this question! To be fair I'll answer it; I just stepped into the big, bad, real world of job hunting! Ugh, someone stab me in the face with a fork. I received some of the greatest advice ever from a waitress at CS's the other day. She asked me what I was doing now that I graduated and I said I didn't know. Then she asked how old I was and I told her 21. She replied, "Baby, you gots plenty o time. jis dun git yerself pregnant!" That! my friends is the greatest advice I have received to this date about where I am in my life. However, bills are coming in and I need to find SOME kind of job to pay them...

I'm reading, for the first time in a LONG time I am able to read what I want, at the pace I want, whenever I want! I tell you what, I had forgotten how relaxing getting lost within a story can be! Reading so much for Millsaps classes challenged me to keep a hold of the joys in reading, and I definitely lost that challenge. The rediscovery of one of my old favorite past times is so much more rewarding though.

Eventually... let's be honest. I am not your career ambitious, "I must make my first million in business before the men in my graduating class!" kind of woman. What's most important to me is raising a loving, amazing family someday. Now I know that isn't typical of a Millsaps grad, but it's the truth. If you're turned off by a woman who wants to work simply because she wants to, or who doesn't care about how much she is making and what she is doing as long as she enjoys it, then sorry to disappoint but, you should stop reading. That doesn't mean I'm scared of working. I just don't want my life to revolve around an office job. Honestly I would love to take my whoa too expensive degree and open a florist shop! I mean a HOLY florist shop, have to stick to my major somehow!

What I want more than anything in the world is someone to share my growth with. I will be reading and thinking for the rest of my life... I just want someone to talk to about it who will be doing the same with theirs.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh... I'm THAT kind of funny, you know... the one who never means to be? I like it about me though. I make the most amazing puns without meaning too.

So... I might also be a bit of a closet nerd. Everyone has their escapes... I just so happen to log onto Anarchy Online and kill shit! And yes, I could kick your ass. Therefore, if the idea of a girl kicking your ass in video games is something you can't handle... well, there are plenty of other girls on this site! ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Cat's Cradle!

I don't get to watch enough movies... I need a good movie partner! That being said, my favorite movie genre ranges from There Will Be Blood! (Daniel Day Lewis ftw) to Wall-E. During Oscar season I'm one of those people that needs to see all the nominees before the awards!

I really like sushi, the fake kind, I'm a total pansy. Mostly, I grew up in New Orleans and I'm very attached to that part of my family culture when it comes to food! Nothing is better than a crawfish boil with a good beer and great people!
Six things I could never do without

My cell phone, in order to keep in touch with my parents a few other important family members, and my true friends.

The internet...

At least 2 of my professors.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thinking lol.

Ways I'm growing, friendships. People in general...

What I should be doing instead of not doing anything...

Past philosophy courses I've taken and how they relate to my everyday world. Like the epistemology course I just finished.
On a typical Friday night I am
I am either on my computer, possibly out at a local pub, or relaxing with a glass of wine and some friends. Regardless of which I am actually up to, I always find a good time, or a way to enjoy myself!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Probably my nerddom. As you can tell from the "What I'm really good at..." portion. It's true. Most people I know have no idea how nerdy I am when my door is closed lol... But I mean it, I probably spend too much time online at the moment. I can't seem to quit or switch games, I've invested too much time. Isn't that an oxymoron!

... I also sing, but it's something that's extremely personal to me. In other words, you won't see me at the karaoke bars any time soon.
You should message me if
You are interested in anything I've written at all. Especially if you can see through my careless writing and are pretty damn sure there is a smart, interesting, confusing as hell, but safe, loyal, and genuinely GOOD GIRL underneath it all. But seriously, How the hell are you supposed to make yourself sound attractive and desirable via typing? Someone let me know... I'm open to any editing suggestions.

If you have read this far, have laughed to yourself at least 3 times or, have thought "Wow, that's sounds just like me!" to any part of my profile you should probably send me a message! I hope you will, I know it's hard to think of a "good first message" so I'll try to make it easier. You could just answer this question; What is your absolute favorite past time that you have to participate in at least once a week or the whole week sucks? I hope to hear from you soon!

... on that note, I've been really busy since I graduated taking lots of little trips all over the place! So sorry if I didn't respond to you quick enough! Seriously, I am.
