My self-summary
Ah, I'm really bad at these sorts of things. I never know what to write for them, but I'll give it a go. Most people I know call me Bobo, or Bobo the Thursday if you want the full title. Its a long running joke. I'm an INTJ for those who are curious. Anyhow, I'm a gamer nerd and quite unabashedly so. I enjoy playing games of all kinds, except FPS games. Not really my thing, but each to their own. My main preference is for RPG games, and I can get wrapped up in those for hours at a time! Also, pencil and paper tabletop games are a thing of mine. I've been running them regularly for over a decade and a half now, and I think I'm pretty good at it.

I'm the executive chef for a food truck, which I'm proud to say has been rated highly by more than a few different professional reviews! Its a lot of hard work, and the scheduling is unpredictable, but its one of the great joys of my life. There's a special sort of joy that comes from being told by customers that the food you cooked for them was some of the best food they'd had in a long time. I don't define myself by my job, but it is an important part of my life, as well as one of my great passions.

I love debating other people about current issues and the problems of the world. Matching wits with people over pressing issues is quite the thrill, especially if someone eloquently disagrees with me. On that same note, I enjoy watching/reading the news and keeping up with current events. I like to be informed. While we're on this topic, I'm basically a Democrat, though I hesitate to apply such a label to myself. I'd rather vote on the issues than vote for a party. If you ask me, the whole political system is something of a sick joke, but I also understand that we have it pretty good in the US of A. If you want to know more about how I feel on political issues, just hit me up. I thrive on intellectual discourse of any kind.

I'm a logical person at heart who tries to keep things simple. Life doesn't always work with me on that, but I'm good at dealing with the unexpected. I can be spontaneous and random at times, and its a lot of fun, but I do best when I have some kind of a plan and know what's going on. I do enjoy having people around me who are more spontaneous though. That adds a lot of excitement to things!

I'm an avid reader, always trying to find new books to devour. I read fantasy books mostly, but some sci-fi or cyberpunk is also good. Historical books are also good, as I am a history buff. Actually, just learning things in general is something I love to do. I can spend hours reading article after article on Wikipedia, absorbing useless trivia and historical information. Point me in the direction of some new knowledge, and you will make me a happy guy.

I'm also getting into writing as a thing, but its still a tentative endeavor for now. I'm trying to write a book, but I am discovering that it can be mentally draining work at times. Its a labor of love, to write over a hundred pages, but the feeling of knowing you wrote those pages is pretty good. I also write little rants with the intent of going on Youtube with them eventually. Perhaps I can get some of that internet fame that I hear so much about! Actually, I just want an excuse to yell at the internet. Any ideas on these things would be welcome, and I always enjoy talking about writing with other people.

I'm also in an open relationship with my partner, and we are pretty serious. That being said, we both have room for other people in our lives, and a willingness to share what we have with others. Part of what I'm looking for from this site is another wonderful person to have fun times with, whether it be in the form of a serious relationship or more casual intimate fun. Friends are welcome too! I want to expand my horizons with other people who are willing to be a part of an open and honest relationship, whatever form that may take.

What else should I say...? Well, I'm not exactly the most social guy ever, but I can get along with just about anyone. I try not to pick fights with people, and I generally let people do what they will. If you get me going on a debate though, I can get pretty opinionated at times, I'll admit to that. Other than that, I'm a pretty nice guy who'd give the shirt on his back to a friend if they needed it. I enjoy being with people who are enjoying themselves, so I try to help that happen. I guess if you really want to know more, go ahead and hit me up. I'm really not too good with explaining myself in an 'about yourself' block of text.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, this is an interesting question. Currently, I'm working as the executive chef of a food truck as my main job. I'm not sure if this job is the long-term career for me yet, but I really do enjoy it. On the side, I vend collectible goods at gaming and anime conventions, though that's more of an experience than a job. I also do some handywork for people I know to help out and make a little extra cash.

I'm still not to sure what I want to end up doing with my life, to be totally honest. I would probably be happy with a teaching job, but I don't feel like I could commit to that just yet. There's still too much out there that I haven't seen or done for me to make up my mind. Something involving history or science would also be nice, perhaps a history teacher. If they say to do what you love, I do love history and explaining it to other people.

I know that I would like to do something that mattered, even in some small way. I think that's why teaching appeals to me. If I can get even a few kids every year to really be interested in learning, then I would feel good about myself. Gotta pass that torch on, right? Also, its a realistic goal. I could say that I want to become a nuclear physicist, and that would be really cool, but I know that I wouldn't make it through that much college. So, the jury's still out on this question.
I’m really good at
I hate this kind of question because I always feel like I will come off as arrogant, and I'm really not that kind of guy. I'm pretty humble overall. Either that, or I start to ramble on about things.

Working hard. I am someone who believes in hard work and its rewards. As I am currently employed as the executive chef on a food truck, hard work is something I'm accustomed to. I even enjoy it! Outside of my job, I work hard to and play hard to get the most out of my time in this life I have. If you really want something, I believe you have to work hard to get it, and I'm ok with that fact.

I'm also a pretty good cook. My job requires it of me, and it is a passion of mine. Curry, chilli, burgers... I'll cook it all! There's something fulfilling about eating a wonderful meal that you made yourself. What's even better is sharing that meal with someone else. Cooking an amazing meal for someone, and seeing them love every bite of it, gives me a warm and happy feeling.

I'm rather good with money. I've been both well off and very poor in my time, and I've learned well how to make the most of what I have. This is an essential skill, and though it took me a good while to learn it, I learned the lesson well. You don't need a lot of money to have a good life, but you do need the ability to manage what money you do have, and I'm good with managing my funds.

Reading and comprehension. That's something that I'm actually really good at. I can read rather quickly, and still have a good comprehension and memory of what I read. Going along with that is vocabulary. I have a rather good grasp of the English language, I believe, and I can eloquently express myself at times. At the very least, I know a bunch of words. Not really a marketable skill, but it is what it is.

I'm also good at being patient with people and things. I think of this as a skill because it seems that a lot of people don't have patience anymore. This extends to being pretty good with kids. I've taken care of them before, and I find that its actually pretty fun, if you have the patience to deal with them. That also makes me want to be a teacher. I find that look of wonder on a child's face when you explain something new to them to be one of the best things in this world.

When I want to be, I can be pretty good at talking to people, but I'm not too social a guy usually. When I've had a couple of drinks at a party where I'm comfortable, I can get along with just about anyone. I have pretty good confidence when it comes to talking to people in general, and I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind, though I also have tact. Also, I can give pretty good advice, or so I have been told. It is something that I enjoy, so I don't mind lending an ear and a thought to someone who needs them.

I'm pretty good with computers, though I'm out of practice when it comes to doing the advanced stuff. I can do some stuff with Windows, and I've run Ubuntu for a few years, which is an adventure all on its own. I can fix simple problems and do installation and such. Perhaps not exactly something to write home about, but I enjoy working with computers, and I happen to think that I'm not too bad with them.

On a somewhat related note, I like to think myself to be pretty good at gaming. I can crush some hard games if I put my mind to it and they catch my interest. If its fighting games, Soul Caliber is the game that I rock at. I'll play any fighting game put in front of me, and I don't really care if I lose. I have my game, and that's enough for me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I dress casual, not really looking to impress or be flashy. If I had to take a stab at this question, I would say it would be my hair. It is pretty wild at times, and even with proper care, it never obeys my desires. Unless I actually talk to you, I probably don't leave much of a first impression.

If you actually talk to me, you'll probably notice that I'm rather free with my opinions. I'm also a pretty laid-back and jovial fellow, and that generally comes across, or so I hope. I try to make sure other people are having a good time, and I try to be entertaining and informative when I can be.

One of the first things some people have noticed about me is that I'm a very compassionate person who hates to see other people sad or in a bad way. If I see someone needing help or someone to talk to, I'll try to do whatever I can to help, even if I don't know them.

Not too good with this kind of question either.

Favorite Food: Curry, Chilli, Sushi, Eggs in general, anything spicy. I'm a red meat lover, but all kinds of meat are welcome in my diet. I'll eat vegetarian meals too, and even like them. Really, I'm not a picky eater beyond my undying disdain for anything Mayonnaise. That stuff is evil!
Six things I could never do without
Intellectual discourse, someone to have said discourse with, a computer of some kind, a book, a desire for something more, and a tasty sandwich.

I don't want too much out of life. Just enough to enjoy my time here and learn something while I'm at it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
With a brain that goes a mile a minute, there's not a lot that I don't end up thinking about. With ADD to makes things interesting, my mind gives me a hundred unbidden thoughts at a time, or so it feels like. For what my mind is often working over, that would be the current state of the world. I find myself wondering about the problems this world faces, and what could be done to fix them. Sometimes, I'm thinking about some philosophical issue that's come up somehow, trying to figure out some answer or compromise. Either that, or I'm wondering about what the world will look like in ten years. That alone is enough to keep me up at night.

Not all of my thoughts are so weighty though, which is a good thing. Sometimes, I'm just envisioning a really cool scene I either wrote or played through in table-top gaming. At other times, I'm thinking about whatever little idle thought got stuck in my brain at the moment. I'm really not that complicated, when it comes down to it. A lot of my thoughts are idle non-sense that's quickly forgotten.
On a typical Friday night I am
On a typical Friday night, I'm playing some White Wolf with my friends, nerding out and having a good time. Either that, or I'm just hanging out with people and keeping it simple. I could also be out at a party, drinking and having a good time, but I'm not too much of a social guy. At worst case, I'm at home, surfing the net or watching shows. Even that can be a good time though. If you noticed the theme here, I try to have a good time with whatever I'm doing. If you're not having a good time with your free time, then why have that free time at all?

Not all of my Friday nights are free though, as the schedule of a food truck varies greatly. Sometimes, my Friday nights are spent cooking food and working hard to make it through another busy night of work. I try to treat every night I have off as a Friday night to be enjoyed because of that.

I'm always open to doing something new with my time though. Meeting new people, doing new things... all of that is how to have a good time with life. A Friday is a day full of possibilities, and it is something to be enjoyed with gusto! If you agree with that idea, then I believe that we can get along just fine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I'm a hopeless romantic who dreams of a perfect love and being the hero of the day? That I can be terribly irresponsible and lazy at times? That I haven't always made the best choices in the past, and that I've actually done some dumb things in my life? I'm pretty much willing to admit to my flaws and mistakes without hesitation, and there's not really much that I keep secret about myself. Take me or leave me as I am.
