My self-summary
I have a positive, upbeat personality and believe in creating space to relax, feel, laugh and have fun. Friends describe me as thoughtful, grounded, happy, free, very open-minded, comfortable in my own skin, reflexively compassionate and playful. Love exploring the world and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. I'm creative, work in design and grateful to have traveled all over for my job (30+ countries). Relating to - and learning from - different perspectives and cultures has been central to my own development and my creative work. Born in New York, I'm a "European mutt" of sorts. Grew up in the leafy Connecticut suburbs of Manhattan and Ivy educated. Lived in Spain, Philadelphia, Boston and spent 10 years in NYC before moving to San Francisco to lead a more balanced, soulful lifestyle. I'm classy--a man of refinement, style and taste. While it may seem paradoxical, I'm cosmopolitan and, at the same time, feel drawn to immerse myself in nature. Call me a romantic! Or maybe it's my New England roots. I lead a healthy life, both physically and mentally. I eat nutritious and organic (where possible!), enjoy running, practice yoga and teach mindfulness meditation in the community. I'm a lifelong learner and committed to my own growth by leaning into my edges, finding "flow" in the here and now, and living a joyful, fulfilling life. I love learning about new cultures, people, and exploring new foods, restaurants and neighborhoods--especially when I travel internationally. I'm an NPR/PBS/TED nerd, and inspired by art, film, photography, playing my guitar, integrative medicine, theater, electronica, poetry, opera, ballet, nature, retreats, my friends, neighborhood bookstores, rustic coffee houses, farmers markets, dark chocolate, cooking and volunteering (I started a social venture in Colombia for at-risk girls and volunteer with a like-minded yoga non-profit here in SF for kids who face toxic stress). I love a good laugh, and have the confidence, and non-seriousness to laugh at myself and keep things in perspective. Friends tell me I have a good sense of humor along with a fun, silly side. I'm a warm, nurturing, generous man with a huge heart and good soul. I'm eternally optimistic, chivalrous, intuitive, creative, confident, bold, loyal, genuine, sweet, kind, fun, mischievous and a bit wild when you least expect it....
What I’m doing with my life
Living it! Global explorer. Social entrepreneur. Creative spirit. Dog lover. Competitive tennis player. Organic foodie. Following the beat of my own drum to launch and run my own purpose-driven, "conscious" business.

“For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any path that may have heart, and the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length--and there I travel looking, looking breathlessly.” ― Carlos Castaneda

Constantly learning, growing, serving and giving back. Allowing the great unfolding of this stunningly beautiful and wildly mysterious existence.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." ― Howard Thurman
I’m really good at
Being humble, present and grateful for everything in my life.
The first things people usually notice about me
Truth be told, Nala gets the first notice more often than not!

Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can continue to become a better person and make a difference in the lives of others through meaningful relationships and purposeful work.

Arthur Ashe, the tennis great, civil rights supporter and humanitarian leader expressed it eloquently: "From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life."
On a typical Friday night I am
Whatever the moment calls for and feels right. Either out with friends exploring a new neighborhood or restaurant ... or a chill, relaxing night in where we create our own fun.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not going to give that one up so easily!
You should message me if
This poem by Kabir resonates:

Don't go outside your house to see flowers.
My friend, don't bother with that excursion.
Inside your body there are flowers.
One flower has a thousand petals.
That will do for a place to sit.
Sitting there you will have a glimpse of beauty
inside the void and out of it,
before the gardens and after gardens.

You have your own creative path and "sparkle" from the inside-out! You are warm, compassionate, affectionate (read: important!), intelligent, and soulful. You are joyful, passionate about life, fun, funny, active, optimistic, confident, spunky. You love to be silly, laugh and smile! Family is important to you. You lead a conscious life and try to live (in as much as possible) from a place of open heartedness. You know that “life begins at the end of your comfort zone” and are willing to go to those places of vulnerability for the sake of deeper intimacy, freedom and joy. You are expressive, thoughtful, open with your feelings and also welcome that from your partner. You don't play games (unless they are sexy ones!). You live healthfully, both in terms of what you eat and working out. You like to challenge your partner to evolve and, in turn, be challenged yourself to grow. You are honest and take responsibility for your life, your feelings, your behaviors and what happens to you. You have the capacity to resolve conflict in a kind and gentle way. If this sounds like you, then send me a note. I promise I won't bite. Well, maybe just a little ;) PS Must love dogs!
