My self-summary
Ahh once again the internet is asking me to describe myself in a paragraph or two... to put in black and white letters the crazy abstraction that is my life. So allow me to try and take an internet "snapshot" for you.

To start, I am a nerd of many sorts (computers, tea, PBS documentaries, etc...), with a pseudo hippie vibe. I've been told that I have indie appeal, which made me happy, and ironically negates my "indyness" (pfff, labels, how mainstream :D ).

I have been described as "the friendliest and deepest person you will ever meet". I have a lot of charisma, and can converse with you (hopefully entertainingly so) forever, but can also listen and empathize (I am a counselor by trade).

If you exist (and even if you don't), chances are I am interested in you and want to get to know you.

So there it is, the internet poloriod. If you want more of the abstraction, the "dance", if you will, by all means contact me! Cheers!
What I’m doing with my life
Working with the Mentally Ill, embarking on long Vespa rides, enjoying the beauty of Santa Cruz, learning guitar, and swimming (just keep swimming, just keep swimming =)
I’m really good at
Intuitively understanding people on an emotional and physical level.
I've been told I have a charismatic and grounding personality. It helps with first dates =) .

Discovering new things and sharing them with others. Whether it's a new song, new place to eat, or hidden nook of life, I am always searching for beauty and wonder.
The first things people usually notice about me
My friendly nature. My kindness. My positive energy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: On the Road (or anything else by Jack Kerouac), A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Blankets, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Chronicles of Narnia (or anything else by C.S. Lewis), Contact

Movies: Almost Famous, I <3 Huckabees, Moulin Rouge, Garden State, UHF, MST3K, The Truman Show, Powder, The Brave Little Toaster, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, any animation by Don Bluth or Gary Goldman, I could Really go on and on in this category.

Six things I could never do without
Curiosity, beauty, imagination, knowledge, friends, family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The nature of the universe, the effects of culture (or lack thereof) on people, The fact that electrons do not choose a place to be until you observe them (seriously), nothing (when trying to meditate), the meanings of songs, my future, sex, etc...
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching up with an old friend in a bar or coffee shop, striking up conversations with random people on buses, sitting on the beach with a bottle of wine pondering life, or wandering the streets of downtown Santa Cruz trying to find Jazz or open mic nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an open book. The fact that we hide ourselves from each other has kinda bothered me, It means that most of our interactions are full of fluff and bullshit. I'm interested in what is real about individuals. I want to know in the brief time I am on this earth, I had deep, genuine, sincere interactions with others.
You should message me if
You consider yourself "a woman of heart and mind" as Joni Would say.

You are kind, intelligent, and have a sense of wonder and joy about life.

You have an adventurous spirit.

You would truly like a partner in life.
