My self-summary
Hey there! This is Wendi. I'm kinda awesome and kind of a nut....but it does make life more interesting.

I am an American living and working in Albania. Sorry, I don't speak Albanian.

Eventually, I am looking for the special man who wants an unconventional way. Travel (with a home base somewhere in Europe), Volunteering, Kids, and fun times.

If you think we might have something to talk about, or want to ask me about traveling or something else, let me know.
If you're just sad, homophobic, racist, sexist, chauvinistic, or think women "owe" you something....don't bother. I am not asking you to talk to me. I am actually saying I don't want to talk to you. I have no time in my life for fake people or people who only want to satisfy their sexual urges. There are others here for find them.

But I am actually a nice person. I just don't liked to be used. If you want a peek into my can check out my blog.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching 2nd grade in Tirana. No, I am not just an "English teacher". But I have done that job before. :) I am a preparer for life. :)

hoping to find time in my life to join the Peace Corps. Maybe in a few years I will make it to Africa.
I’m really good at
Making a fool out of myself
Dancing to cheesy eighties music
Being there for people
Never falling asleep when I need to.
Taking time for myself when I need to.
Making tacos
changing and exercising....even when I don't want to. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm short.

I actually asked a few people about this today and these are the answers I received:

I am smart with an excellent vocabulary
I am spirited and quirky
Lots of fun and totally honest

I gotta love my friends!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: ummmm.....too many to list them all. But I love a challenge and here is what I have come up with:

Water for Elephants, Choke, The Lovely Bones, Eat Pray Love (really helped during my divorce), The Alchemist, The Girl with Dragon Tattoo series, Harry Potter series, The Dark Towers (I have read one of these via audio book and plan to read the rest), A Child Called It, Game of Thrones, the help, the wallflowers, The Help, The Boy With The Striped Pajamas, Southern Vampire mysteries.

I will devour any book someone tells me about. I love romantic stories and a good murder mystery. I also love fantasy. I am in a book club which is amazing, so I usually have plenty of people to ask about a new book.

Music: anything but country. I am especially fond of 80s music and jam bands. I especially love a local ex band called Band Marino.

Television: I don't watch a lot of tv because my nose is usually in a book. But I do have a few shows I like and try to keep up with.
Breaking Bad is by far one of the best casted and completed series I have ever seen.

Movies: Mr. Holland's Opus is one of my favorite movies of all time. Some others include:
Whats eating Gilbert Grape, Nightmare before Christmas, Catch Me if You Can, The Terminal, Forrest Gump, When Harry Met Sally, Shawshank Redemption, Grand Turino, Life Aquatic, The Big Lebowski, Easy A, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Morgan Stewart's Coming home, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, Son-in-law, Encino Man, In the Army Now, Brokedown Palace, Grandma's boy, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Tommy Boy, Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Breakfast Club, Land before Time (1 only), Neverending Story, The Lord of the Ring trilogy, Harry Potter movie, Twilight series, Lovely Bones, What Dreams May Come, Eat Pray Love, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Fountain, Teen Witch, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dumb and Dumber, The Goonies, Little Nicky, Big Daddy, Click, The Constant Gardner, Double Jeopardy, and many many more :)

Food: hmmm.....I would say that the food I miss the most living aborad is authentic mexican food. I miss going to a little bus outside of a gas station and getting cheap tacos with all the fixings. Making them here just isn't the same.

I also love stir fry, which is something that I make here really often. Mahi-mahi is heaven as well and breakfast food.
The six things I could never do without
Hope in love, mankind, and myself
Friends/family (because my friends are a part of my family)
music and travel
students to teach
books to read.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, books, where I left my keys, countries I want to visit.
My next tattoo.
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading with a beer and/or cigarette.

Dancing the night away and not caring who watches.

Exhausted and in bed after a long week.......who knows!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been married. That didn't work out so well, but I learned a lot.
You should message me if
you like to travel, and want to do so extensively. You can leave electronics behind for a day, or want to go on a date where clothes stay for a little while.

Also, if you want to recommend a book for me.
if you can see the beauty of this poem. :)
