My self-summary
Self-employed, self-reliant, self-motivated, self-confident, self-critical, self-deprecating, and self-effacing when the mood strikes. Having been born and raised in Virginia by two polar opposite families, one a God fearing southern native and the other chiseled out of New England, I'd like to think that my dry, sarcastic wit balances nicely with my relaxed southern demeanor.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an amateur filmmaker working on my pro status.
I’m really good at
Just missing the MUNI, contributing to the conversation, preventing awkward silences, losing sleep, bribing the KJ (points if you know what that is)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies are my life... literally, so a lot of my free time is spent at the Castro, Embarcadero, or Netflix. Some greats: The Odd Couple, Harold and Maude, Network, Punch Drunk Love, Scenes from a Marriage, Submarine, Repulsion, 8 1/2, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Midnight in Paris, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and so many more.

Music: TV on the Radio, Charles Mingus, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, Aretha Franklin, Jonny Greenwood, Midnight Masses, T.Rex, Bob Dylan, Jackson C. Frank, Van Morrison, MF Doom, Antibalas, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Godspeed You! Black Emperor...

Books: I must admit I don't read that often but I have been flipping pages more frequently since moving to the city. A few books: Let the Right One In, Night, Child of Satan Child of God, Making Movies by Sydney Lumet

TV: Party Down, Friends, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Face/Off, Life and Times of Tim, Arrested Development...
Six things I could never do without
French Fries, hot showers, good company, a stiff drink, pencil, and paper.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life. It's a broad subject I know but everything seems to fit conveniently inside it.
On a typical Friday night I am
When I'm feeling social you can find me out at the closest dive bar holding serious conversations about the most meaningless of subjects.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a miracle of modern medicine and biological resilience. No seriously, I'm lucky to be alive.
You should message me if
you're looking for some good company to share a drink with.
