My self-summary
I enjoy being outdoors and would love going on a long backpacking trip one day in a foreign land. My main passion is cooking. It's a nice marriage of science and art.
My ambition is to own my own restaurant one day. I'm also a fan of astronomy, more of the beauty of it.
The more I experience life, the more I want out of it.
What I’m doing with my life
Looking into attending culinary school. Hanging out with my niece on the weekends. Trying to get my garden free of invading armies of pests. Slowly picking (up) on the guitar.
I’m really good at
I am really good at problem solving.
Learning how things work.
Attracting mosquitoes.
Frying up a mean omelet.
Shower concertos.
Rubbin' my cats belly and getting scratched to pieces.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have been told many times that I have nice hair. I have been compared to the chief from "One flew over the cookoos nest". Hopefully, it's because of the wisdom he gave and not his other qualities.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: sci-fi/fantasy, horror, classical lit. Pretty much any fiction (love a good story)
William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, H.P. Lovecraft, August Derleth, and other mythos writers, Terry Pratchett, and others. Love John Steinbeck, cannery row is my favorite book of his.
made it half way through 1001 nights, loved it but I moved and it got lost.

(Currently reading- Fiends of the Eastern Front
its about Nazis, vampires, and Nazi vampires, all fighting it out with the soviets in WW2)

Movies: Comedies and much of the same as above but I will say The Rocky Horror picture show is my all time favorite movie

Music: To me music needs to evoke some kind of emotion.

I'm listening to more ambient and instrumental but I like rock, alternative, lots of grunge, some metal, classic rap, blues, and classical. A huge fan of Rush, Steam Powered Giraffe(, Dr.Steel, Alice in Chains, Talking Heads, Pearl Jam, Anthrax, Brahms, Pelican, System of a down.

Shows: Seinfeld, its always sunny in Philadelphia, Trailer park Boys, The X-files, The Kids in the hall, Mystery Science theater 3000 (Best show. I can watch it all day, any day), Todd and the book of pure evil, Dr. Who. And some other British shows.

Food: Varies based on time of day. Or day of month.
Six things I could never do without
My family, my computer, music, reading, a nice sunny day( I'm seriously solar powered), and cooking.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
various things. Can range from simple thoughts to something very in depth.
Hypothetical situations, like if somehow a person from 50-1000 years ago magically appeared in your living room, how would i explain life and things today. Given they don't go into catatonic shock.
Time travel and the paradoxes it brings.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home watching stuff on Netflix, Redditing, or gaming.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Like to watch Disney and Pixar movies after my niece leaves, as well as cartoons. What can I say? I'm a child at heart.

I love bag pipe and accordion music. It makes me imagine a world of kilts, tilted accents, and sheep. There can be only one.
You should message me if
If you have any suggestions for books, movies, or shows I might like. Or if you want to swap recipes. Discussions on life, politics, religion. Even sports, I might not know diddly about it but I can make up opinions and facts.
