My self-summary
I was born in beautiful Cincinnati, OH - but moved to Chicago for college and stuck around once I graduated. I work in the marketing department at a large non-profit arts organization and I'm a fan of, and occasional participant in the arts, myself.

I'm often independent but enjoy the company of others and good conversation. I'm an eternal optimist, especially when it comes to baseball... and especially when it comes to the Cincinnati Reds (next year's our year!). I don't sugarcoat, but I'm also not blunt or rude - I just appreciate honesty and authenticity. Maybe this characteristic is at odds with my optimism... hmm, maybe... I don't know... Oh, also I'm contemplative.

I can get equally excited about sitting in a bar, attending a baseball game, live theater, a street festival, a concert or relaxing at home - as long as it's with the right person.
What I’m doing with my life
Working the nine to five with a NFP arts organization, while on the side, working with other talented artists and occasionally pursuing some of my own creative ventures.

Also within the last year or so I've started to do some running and have hobbled to the finish line in a couple of road races. I don't claim to be an expert runner - or even very good at all - but it's something that's become important to me and a pretty significant part of my life. To me, running is about a lot more than just running. Questions? Inquire within.

All the while, I'm keeping my eyes open to new creative opportunities and thinking about some grad school in the not-so-distant future.
I’m really good at
making people laugh, navigating public transportation, telling stories, and properly punctuating text messages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a beard, and it's awesome.

Six things I could never do without
Family/Friends, My Phone, Google, The Lake & Lake Shore Path, Public Transit, Seasons
I spend a lot of time thinking about future, and how to get there. ...why things and people are the way they are and how those things and people got to be that way. ...things I still need to get done. ...things I already completed and hoping I completed them correctly. ...people I like.
On a typical Friday night I am
Nothing is typical about my life, Friday nights included. I could be out drinking with friends, at a play, at a concert, sitting at home watching bad TV, at a work event or sleeping...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I read Tina Fey's book, Mindy Kaling's book and the latest Sloane Crosley book. What can I say, I went through a bit of a chick lit phase...
You should message me if
you're interested in having a genuinely good time, laughing, and sharing a great conversation... or if you're just looking for some dope to buy you a drink. I'm your guy!
