I want to invite you to be part of an amazing experiment, maybe. It is the "Bosque Village" an intentional community, permaculture farm, and social experiment.
I sometimes accept volunteers. We will be working on making videos to show the activities and culture of the place here.
Read more about it, and apply here: http://bosquevillage.com/en/visiting-the-bosque-as-a-participant/
If you are accepted, I will pay for your food and housing.
Here is part of the vision:
If you think you might have a romantic interest in me, let me know. We can chat and rule each other out, or if we can't, then perhaps we are gods who must join. Come live in the forest for a month or two so we can get to know each other. But I am a strange guy and not compatible with most people, so please don't make up things or have expectations.
Follow this page and you will see photos I am posting from the project:
Can we live close to nature without destroying it? Can we develop a fulfilling sustainable culture?
Over the years thousands of people have visited. It has been fun, but I need to form a more stable core team. Hmmm....
My name is Brian Fey. I am a gringo from Seattle, and moved to Mexico in 2004.
Feel free to add me on facebook and I will invite you to events where I live.
I have been working at building the space since 2004 when I moved down to Mexico from Seattle. The Bosque is 83 acres of oak, pine and madrone trees. I am off the electrical and water grid. The nearest neighbor is about a mile away. Search for "Rancho Madrono" on Google maps and you can see the building I am in right now.
If you have time free to travel, perhaps you will visit. Sometimes I accept volunteers.
If you imagine a better world with sustainable living close to nature, your fantasies could become reality here. Working towards a culture of freedom and self-development, we can live the life other people only dream about.
I am seeking residents who can work remotely, or fill a role here. Possible roles: Yoga teacher, activity leaders, English teacher, Spanish teacher, permaculture teacher (usuallly that is me, but someone needs to focus more on it.), art teacher, musicians, farmers, nurse, video editor, masseuse, natural builders etc..
I would like to run some crowdfunding efforts to support the Bosque.
There is also fun to be had such as mud wrestling a couple times a year!
I work with the local community to improve food security and economic opportunities. I do not want to make a "commune" but an ecological town. I don't want to make a spiritual community but rather live in harmony with nature informed by science. The goal is to figure out how we can live close to nature without destroying it.
I am also single... so... stalk me gently. I am not a right match for most people. I tend to be a little intense but I have mellowed some. I walk a lot, and I walk fast. Anyone who wants to walk with me must keep up. I like to maximize creativity in myself and those near me. I don't spend my time watching sports or playing video games. I would enjoy chatting or speaking online with someone of interest, but not just for the sake of chatting. After a long time alone, I am not sure what I want totally. GGG
Quieres hablar en español? Puedo... pero no perfectamente...
Hola, busco gente creativo para hacer eventos culturales en el Bosque donde yo viso. Tu?
We have two festivals a year. This is one:
A video about my art:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9a1GngFk658 I cannot paint without a muse, so I have not painted well in years.
I write about the project on Quora, feel free to ask questions there:
My personal page is here:
I have not been putting much up there though.
Me personally? My life has been full of adventure and work. War photojournalism, art, festivals such as Burning Man etc.. When I moved down here from Seattle, I spent the first three years alone as a hermit in the woods. Since then thousands of people have visited to volunteer, to make art and play, and to learn about alternative ways of living. ... Me personally? I feel a bit shy to say much. There are videos online so you can get a taste. I don't live captive to the 'normal' cultural constraints. I am a painter missing a muse. Salvador had Gala, I got dogs. One friend a long time ago said I am a priest without a god. Always learning. I guess I am a pragmatic utopian trying to create a better world and culture. I would like the free and open culture at festivals to be possible in an ongoing and sustainable way.... Hmmm... I am avoiding the personal. If you think I might be interesting for you on a more personal level then feel free to communicate honestly about that. I don't know how anyone could really know me online or how I am supposed to flirt this way. Coming down and being my art assistant might be a good way to flirt with me. Things like height, age, or hair color don't matter much to me. I don't care about tattoos or piercings either way.
I am pretty particular in who I am intimate with so don't come down expecting that unless we have already talked and there is some attraction.
Projects these days: Travel and explore the area of Mexico I live in, improve my art and my art career, continue planting the land, learn to grow mushrooms, make more friends in Mexico, improve my Spanish, collect more people to live here and build businesses.
Videos to seduce your mind with:
Interests: animals, anthropology, architectureart, burning man, community, dancing, documentaries, dogs, espaol, family, gardening, intentional community, love, mead, mexico, Michoacan, music, mushrooms, natural building painting, parties, peace, performance art, philosophy, photography, psychology, reading, road trips, Seattle, sex, solar power, Spanish, travel, writing, yoga, bonfires, horseback riding, thunderstorms
I am eclectic, intense, and childlike
I like to gather thinkers and creators who are doing innovative things to make a better world!
For intimacy, I like smart, strong women who give power to my visions.
It is an exciting time to live in Mexico. It is culturally vibrant and change is in the air. It is too bad people are so unreasonably afraid of Mexico. Where I live is very very peaceful. Also the climate is far better than in the North.
