My self-summary
No Brexiters.

Afraid my profile is a few years out of date and I'm too lazy to update it and don't use it much anymore

I have a dangerous tea addiction, if I hadn't discovered decaf tea I think I'd be dead by now. Recovering crisp addict, crisp free since 2015!
What I’m doing with my life
I have been lucky enough to travel a lot the past few years and had great fun doing so but now Im trying to behave like an adult and buy a house and other boring things so Im in the process of slowly moving to the cute town of Hebden Bridge....but Im still tempted to sack it off and go away again. Then again having ones own house has its advantages, I mean apart from the walking round naked all the time, I can fill it with geeky high tech gizmos and call it Xanadu 3.0

I have also developed an insatiable appetite for walking. Probably since we got the rather cute dog you may have seen in my photos. I now try and walk ten miles a day and plan to start doing some serious walking this summer, hopefully starting with Hadrian's Wall!

Update - I have now walked Hadrians Wall :)
110 miles in 6 days
I’m really good at
Talking about history and random useless trivia (especially about The Beatles)
I can talk to you for hours about things you probably have little or no interest in :)

I can also make the perfect cup of tea
The first things people usually notice about me
Hmm, well the last 3 girls I met all told me that they when we first met they were convinced I was gay. If one girl had said it fair enough, but 3. Strange, me and Cookie (my koala bear teddy I was traveling with) really couldn't figure out why.

Also whenever I met any other English people while traveling they had a hard time believing Im really from Manchester, apparently I don't have the "right" accent for it
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music is my main passion in life so I listen to a lot! But my main inspiration in life are The Beatles, my earliest memory in life is being shown The Beatles movie Help! Honestly.

My other favourite artists are Paul McCartney, XTC, ELO, The Smiths, Todd Rundgren, Sondre Lerche, The High Llamas, Brian Eno.
After the Beatles the main music I listen to really is film soundtracks, especially those of the composers ennio morricone, balladenti and Gabriel Yared.

I wouldn't say I was a good musician...but I make up for it in effort, Ive played in some alright bands in the past - I think there are videos on youtube if anyones interested!

I love foreign cinema, especially German films. My favourite film is probably The Tin Drum but I also love the German tv show Heimat. I love comedy so The Monty Python films are up there, and Charlie Chaplin films. Beatles films also, obviously.

I do love comedy shows like Peep Show, Flight of the Conchords, Red Dwarf etc and epic dramas like Our Friends In The North or The Killing. Currently watching Borgen. I think the documentaries of Adam Curtis are amazing and very eye opening, everyone should watch them! When I was a child my favourite cartoon was The Raccoons, I was really surprised when I actually went to America to find they don't like Raccoons and no one had seen the cartoon...turns out its Canadian! And what exactly was Ceril Sneer??

My favourite book of all time is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. Im quite convinced this is the greatest book ever written, I tend to read it like once a year. My fav author however is Kurt Vonnegut, although I think they have a similar style. Anything by Murakami, Bill Bryson and Henning Mankell I usually love too

I also love Richard Dawkins, yes I know he pisses a lot of people off but good - if you read The God Delusion you realize he is God, the final irony. Clearly I'm not a fan of religion, religious maniacs need not message me I don't have the time or energy to point out why you are so deluded. Sorry. Believers in the Flying Spaghetti Monster are more than welcome though
The six things I could never do without
The Beatles
The Rain
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether to stay in the UK or not
On a typical Friday night I am
With a cup of tea and an episode of Parks and Recreation or now that I am up to date with that an episode of HBO's Rome

If I am going out I usually head to the Star and Garter in Manchester but this seems to happen less and less these days sadly, and I hardly drink not for any particularly moral reasons I just really don't like the taste of most alcoholic drinks. Much rather have a cup of tea any night
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My hair was permed, now Im scared im losing it.
Might be some connection there!
Now I'm seriously considering a hair transplant....

Also, the nicest message I have ever received on here was from another guy....
You should message me if
You don't mind sending the first message. I have found that when I receive the first message things go much better than when I send the first message for some reason

I changed my looking for to just friends as at the moment Im not feeling that confident about finding anything more though I do always hold out hope of it coming along sometime
