My self-summary
I'm a twenty-something from Ohio chasing dreams in the big city. I'm basically every show biz movie trope.

My degree is in music education but I'm working on my acting career because that's what truly makes me happy. I'm a nerdy, idealistic, goofball who sings a little too loud and laughs a little too hard. I dream of one day becoming famous enough to work for the Muppets.

It doesn't take too much to make me happy. The simplest pleasures such as running through the rain, picnicking in the park, and cuddling with a cup of tea fill me with contentment. I've always believed that life should never be taken too seriously.

Like every New York actor, I hold down a number of jobs that keep me busy. I find a lot of joy in the serendipity of life. Part of what keeps me in New York is never knowing what the day will hold.

I'm just getting out of a long stretch filled with a lot of short term dating so I'm not looking for anything but rest right now (you've been informed.) I'm open to a lot of interactions but I'm ultimately looking for that special guy. I hunger for romance and swoon for a cultured man. I want someone who smiles for no reason and laughs at my jokes even though we both know they're dumb. He needs to be adventurous and caring and creative. I love a man who plays an instrument. He could very easily sweep me off my feet if he asked me to dance slow and close. It also wouldn't hurt if he was taller than me.
What I’m doing with my life
Acting, singing, being a huge music dork. I work in bars and theaters and audition when I can.
I’m really good at
Playing the piano, enjoying sunny days, laughing loudly in movie theaters, singing along to the radio, not fitting into preconceived notions.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. I do that a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Great Gatsby, The Soul Thief, The Eye of the World, Decline and Fall, I Lucifer, On the Road, Wicked, Catcher in the Rye, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Electric Kool-aid Acid Test, World War Z, The Sirens of Titan

The Red Violin, Across the Universe, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Sneakers, History of the World Part I, El Mariachi, Arsenic and Old Lace, White Christmas, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, The Dark Knight, Death Proof, Love Me If You Dare, Death to Smoochy, Were the World Mine, To Wong Fu, Snatch, Strictly Ballroom, Animal House, Fargo, American Beauty

Scrubs, MASH, Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The West Wing, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Bob's Burgers, Frasier, Orange is the New Black, Arrested Development, Archer, Grace and Frankie, Firefly

Seven Nations, Frank Sinatra, Guster, Carbon Leaf, Puccini, Carole King, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson (which isn't fair because I feel, like the Beatles, everyone likes that music because there is a song for every person), Flogging Molly, Chicago, Gabe Dixon Band, Melody Gardot, Aerosmith, Etta James, Sondheim, on and on...

As for food, I will generally eat anything that is considered edible. When dining with friends, I'm the bottomless pit that eats whatever someone else didn't finish.
The six things I could never do without
love, life, sunshine, coffee (I need my obligatory morning cup or my brain feels fuzzy), back rubs, good books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What life has to offer at every turn.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends doing something terribly dorky.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm secretly a super hero. Don't tell.

(I'm a pretty open person so feel free to just ask me.)
You should message me if
As I mentioned above, I'm not looking for anything right now. This is my recuperating stage following a lot of short term dating disappointment. This is not a time to ask me to do anything. That will eventually change.
