My self-summary
I never know what to write in the about you section so I asked a friend to describe me: she said "geeky in a good way, always very friendly, affectionate and comes across as confident." I can be childlike or cynical depending on my mood and the subject and I'm fiercely loyal to my friends. I identify as a gamer but am very aware of the responsibility for the actions of the community that comes with that.

I do have a very lovely lady in my life but we have discussed the idea of Polyamory hence why I am still here. I am also one of those oddballs who like women as friends so if you do like the sound of me just as someone to chat with I am more than happy to make conversation.

Also I'm Dyslexic so please don't scorn me too hard for my inevitable spelling and or grammer mistakes :-p
What I’m doing with my life
Plotting and scheming mostly. I've finally been able to break away from the post-crash retail vortex that has drains graduates my age like a Dementor. Now I run around helping scientists operate AV equipment in meeting rooms, it's actually slightly more fun than it sounds.
The rest of my life...well I'm working on that, I'm learning to brew, I do target shooting when I can, trying to set up my own portfolio website, spending time with friends and getting into writing reviews (mostly for apps at the moment).
I’m really good at
making people think I actually know what I'm doing, making up words/phrases after drinking, rembering usless information,I'm a reasonably good marksman, photography, gaming (if that counts as a skill) and I'm vaguly musical :-p
The first things people usually notice about me
People usually notice that I can come across either quiet or larger than life depending on how confident I feel.
Oh and the mighty beard! Tremble before it!

The six things I could never do without
My friends
My Camera
My Computer
My Turtle pendant (I feel totally naked without it)
My smartphone
A good book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything and anything, usually something either silly (what if you strapped a jetpack to a pig) or something complex (the buildup to the next US election). That said I can go off at a tangent that sometimes only makes sense to me
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually in a good pub with my friends having slightly nonsensical discussions about everything and anything.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have narcolepsy and cataplexy, this doesn't make me a Hollywood cliche but I have been known to fall over if I get all romantically excited about a lady. True story bro.

I have a cross-shaped scar on my chin, I slipped in the bath when I was three and cut myself. I did it again six months later in the same place. The doctor who stitched me up didn't restrain me properly so I kicked her in the stomach, hey I was only three.
You should message me if
You like an eccentric mix of heated intelligent debate, random frivolousness and affection
