My self-summary
I've lived on the east coast for about four years now after spending the first 23 years of my life living in Minnesota.

I love sports...I'm a HUGE baseball fan (Go Twins!). I also love to explore the city in my spare time...I'm a big fan of traveling, music, movies, museums, karaoke, and goofing around with friends.

I like to think of myself as a laid-back kind of guy who does his best not to take life for granted. I'm optimistic, adventurous, and above all else I am Minnesota nice :)
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it! I've taken a keen interest in exploring the NJ/NY area and seeking out cool events (musical, cultural, etc) in my spare time to help me broaden my horizons while seeing more of this fascinating area.

As for work, I'm currently living out my dream of working in sports. I'm in my fifth season of looking up and providing baseball stats to on-air talent at a TV network
I’m really good at
Being in the right place at the right time. The reason I'm even living on the east coast in the first place is that I was offered a job after competing on a baseball trivia game show. Since moving here, I've been in the right place often enough to have been quoted in the NY Times, told by then-NY Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey that I have a good fastball, and even have my hair washed by a former American League MVP winner (true and awkward story!).

I definitely like baseball, but have plenty of other hobbies besides that. I consider myself an expert at reciting useless pop-culture facts, and I've spent about 15 years of my life swimming competitively and playing the cello. Sadly, I probably became better at Guitar Hero in about half that length of time
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd say probably my height (I'm a pretty tall dude), but I've also been told that my light blue eyes stand out quite a bit--in a good way--as well ...hooray Scandinavian ancestry!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I miss watching How I Met Your Mother (I've determined that I am essentially a skinnier and single version of Marshall) and The Office. I'm currently waiting for Season 5 of Game of Thrones to come out on Blu-Ray so I can catch up...no spoilers, please! I also still love my 90's Nicktoons, and still watch shows like Doug & Hey Arnold on occasion.

My favorite movies are Forrest Gump, Happy Gilmore, and Field of Dreams, but there are plenty of others high on that list like Dumb & Dumber, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Zoolander, Spaceballs, and Ocean's 11

And I'm really a fan of just about any type of music from T-Swift to Gershwin and everything in between, but mostly rock, pop, and alternative...especially Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Foo Fighters or anything from the 90's
The six things I could never do without
1. Family & Friends
2. Sports (Especially baseball)
3. Music
4. Laughter
5. Peanut Butter
6. Making random pop-culture references
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to figure out which of the following I'd choose if I had to pick just one to compete in: Double Dare Obstacle course, Aggro Crag from Guts, or Olmec's Temple from Legends of the Hidden Temple. I'm leaning Aggro Crag, but still haven't decided yet

Also, in my four years out here, I still haven't figured out what time 'quarter of five' refers to. Does it mean 4:45? Does it mean 5:15? Bonus points if you can explain that one to me in a way that I can remember moving forward
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely hanging out with friends at the bar or going to a sporting event, but occasionally I'll just stay in and watch a movie
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an award-winning dancer. I once won a trophy for 'Best Macarena' on a cruise in the late 90's and my interpretation of Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA won me the coveted top spot at my college's swimmer talent show. Yup, I've got moves
You should message me if
