My self-summary
I am multifaceted, complete with strengths, abilities, and vulnerabilities. I approach life mindfully with an open heart. I love deeply, care about humanity and the world we live in, and am inclined toward adventure over routine. I am a life-long learner, committed to personal growth and making a positive impact in our world.

I have a strong tendency towards non-conformity and creative thought. My friends used the following words to describe me: creative, friendly, easy-going, artistic, fun loving, sincere, handy, witty, thoughtful, and a good listener. Yet, I have never received a call for advice from the Dalai Lama, and my spellchecker hates me.

I am most alive when expressing what is inside of me verbally, physically or artistically. I love hugs and caresses as a form of expression. I could easily be convinced to dust off my tennis racket or take dance classes.

I have two wonderful sons both thinking about Grad school. They have definitely enriched my life. Over their younger years, I racked up thousands of rewarding hours volunteering my artistic talent at their schools.

Perfection? Ha! I am definitely a work in progress. My achievements have come through vision, intention, hard work, patience, persistence, great mentors, and a willingness to explore and fail along the way. It has been a humbling experience. To suppress my tactile urges, I keep my hands in my pockets when visiting art galleries.
What I’m doing with my life
I have always been compassionate with others, but in recent years have begun nurturing myself. I practice yoga and meditate to stay grounded and focused. “Soften your eyes and remember to breath.” Life doesn’t get any simpler or better. I love hiking and hitting balls with things (pickle-ball, table tennis, tennis.) I am regaining my athletic body through excise and a healthy diet. Since I am at a crossroads in my life and in reasonable financial health, I am taking my career in a direction that is fulfill my soul, and am ready to seek a new relationship.

In recent years, I fully embraced my artist side by starting my art/woodworking business. After much thought, it is what I want to be when I grow up. I am happy and excited with this direction and my clients are, too.

I am looking for my life/soul partner. I do not know how you will be manifested into my life. MAYBE YOU ARE READING THIS? I am attracted to several types of women, but there is a common thread among them: warmth, soul, wisdom, confidence, humor, spunk, and being a joyful “work in progress”. With our mutual love, respect, kindness, and reasonable effort, we will forge a relationship where we can easily be ourselves (no reconstruction projects), find each other’s idiosyncrasies endearing and enjoy life.
I’m really good at
I have the ability to create whatever I can imagine (be it houses, furniture … or art.) I live in a passive solar house that I designed and built. I also possess and apply the abilities to view and solve problems from multiple perspectives. I have been known to use humor to defuse intense situations. When inspired by a wonderful woman, my kisses and touch bloom. I have been blessed with good eye-hand coordination and quick reflexes that allow we to excel in sports.
The first things people usually notice about me
The depth and sparkle behind my blue eyes. I have been told my muscular legs are wonderful, but I keep them covered most of the time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am mainly interested in non-fiction, spiritual/philosophy, biographies, and amusing/witty stories. I have enjoyed reading Joseph Campbell, Sherman Alexie, David Sedaris, and Pema Chodron.

I marvel at the genius of Buster Keaton and many of his contemporaries. Groundhog Day and Young Frankenstein are two of my favorite comedies, and I enjoy the works of the Marx Brothers, Christopher Guest and the Coen Brothers.

I enjoy most theatrical productions.

I have a very diverse musical taste ranging from Aboriginal to Zydeco.

I enjoy a diverse range of food tastes, and have adopted a low carb gluten free diet that is erasing my extra weight.
Six things I could never do without
1) Engaged senses - taste (wonderful food and kisses), sight (beautiful natural and urban landscape, and art), hearing (laughter, music, thunder and the voices of my boys), smell (food, nature, passion, ... ) and the most important, touch (sensual embrace, the crossness of rough wood, the suppleness of finely sanded wood, snowflakes of the face, ...).

2) Humor - The joy, laughter and warmth it brings. Along with it's healing nature when presented with life’s rich abundance of absurdity, fragility and irony.

3) My community of friends and my boys.

4) Love and compassion.

5) Gratitude - Celebrate this life's natural gifts and lessons learned from its harder edges.

6) Curiosity - Quest for knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why did I dismantle my old shop cabinets, before building the new ones? How great it would be to have a fellow explorer to share life with? Why do we have the best politicians money can buy? I also put much thought into my artistic expression/voice and my business.
On a typical Friday night I am
With you, more smiling. Without you in my life, my Fridays are maybe occupied dreaming of new things to create or just relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I would hate to make you blush, so let's save it for another time.
You should message me if
If you have a well used smile, joyful/playful attitude towards life, and are emotionally ready and have time for a relationship. If I intrigue you, let’s meet, share stories, laugh, and explore the possibilities.

Best wishes!
The two of us
