My self-summary
I love figuring out how things work, I tend to get intensely interested in something for a couple of months, and then move on to something else. At any given moment you would probably find me reading something although I do knit and watch tv and play wii games to break it up a little.

I'm fairly shy at first but once I get to know you I have a tendency to be scathingly sarcastic... usually it's not personal ;p

I am shy, bossy, and a little bit nerdy
What I’m doing with my life
Having successfully achieved enrollment in school I am now 1ish semester(s) away from getting my Associates in Fine Arts. Working full time and going to school is just as stressful as you can imagine! At this very moment I'm enjoying the brief respite of summer break before starting again in August.
I’m really good at
I am really good at figuring out how things/people work. I really like to solve problems on the fly. Which is why I'm a successful retail manager and an enthusiastic artist.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair is what people notice about me first, it's always been a little different and edgy, but last year I buzzed it all off a la Furiosa. No regrets! I've let some of it grow back, and now I have a bitchn' mohawk!

The second thing people probably notice is my loud laugh :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll read about anything in the fantasy section - Robert Jordon, Terry Goodkind (although I've had a falling out here), Melanie Rawn, Jacqueline Carey, Brandon Sanderson (currently rocking my world) etc.

I love action movies, if there's an explosion or a chase scene I am there! If you didn't like Mad Max: Fury Road, we have nothing to talk about, I also LOVE the Fast and Furious movies, anything Marvel and Star Trek (not the crappy ones!)

I don't have cable and I'm guaranteed to be uninformed about your current favorite show, I do appreciate enthusiasm though and if you're excited I'll indulge you :p

I'll listen to about anything, but Disturbed, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and Non-point will put me into the zone. Since Champaign doesn't have a rock station that will last I've been Stockholm Syndromed into liking some of the be-bop top hits stuff, but I'm just as likely to put on the "oldies" station that has stuff I can sing along to.

I like food eaten with others, there are a few things I won't eat, but the important part is eating with friends.
Six things I could never do without
Something to read is necessary to my continued survival. I haven't been without reading material since I was about 13 and I don't think I would handle the separation well.

Music would be necessary as well and while I am not great at making rhythm myself I might survive not having my iPod... Maybe ;p.

So, reading material, music, and something to do with my hands - my current choice would be knitting, but it's easy to fiddle with things.

That's not six, but I'm assuming that I don't need to list basic essentials like family, food and water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Planning my next art project, I work mostly in 3D so I have to plan out all the pieces, how they'll fit together and how I'm going to fabricate it.

I love going new places, even if it's close by, my current interest in Fly Gyser in Arizona. It looks so cool and I'm hoping to successfully drive out there next summer.... Maybe

The west coast is calling my name and I hope to be living in the PNW before Xmas season next year.
On a typical Friday night I am
Definitely working. Retail hours are a bitch, you're likely to find me available on a random Tuesday. The older I get the harder it is to find others to adventure with mid-week, but that doesn't give me to much pause.
You should message me if
you like making others laugh :)
