My self-summary
I try not to take anything too seriously. My work in molecular biology is one of the few things I do take seriously, "Work hard, play even harder."
I tend to take "living in the moment" to the extreme most of the time and can be pretty oblivious to the near or distant future. Luckily, I am aware of this and it's something I'm trying to improve.

I can be a bit of a nerd (I love to read sci-fi) and I also enjoy the arts (Making music is one of my favorite pastimes), but it doesn't matter if you enjoy these particular things if you can show me something awesome and new!
I'm easily excited by conversation and can/will talk too much unless I'm careful. I apologize for that in advance.
What I’m doing with my life
Gaining professional experience and planning the next step. If you're looking to balance out your crazy situation with some stability, you're probably in the wrong place. If you're looking forward to doing something new and seeing where life takes you (maybe adding a little craziness to your life), I think I can assist.
I’m really good at
Keeping my cool, starting conversations with strangers and eliminating awkwardness.
Also, making guitars weep/scream depending on what mood I'm in.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beautiful flowing locks. Please don't tell me I look better with short hair even if you believe it
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love food and will enjoy just about anything. I'm also willing to travel a bit just to grab a good bite and enjoy good company.
I don't watch much TV but if I do I'll most likely watch the history or discovery channel while fiddling with a guitar.
I enjoy alot of different music but 90% of what I regularly listen to falls in the rock spectrum, mostly blues rock and hard rock.
Books: it seems that I'll read anything with a Tor logo on it. If I'm not reading sci-fi then it's most likely real science.
Six things I could never do without
Guitar- if I'm home and not busy there's one in my hand, though I'm no virtuoso
My dog- I like to think he'll live forever
Internet access- my non-guitar favorite activity
Car- I actually don't hate my commute
Stimulating conversation- probably my #1 turn-on
Sun- all my dreams have palm trees
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Adventure. I see that word alot on here and it sound like a boatload of fun. Let's do something. It doesn't even need to sound like fun as long as YOU sound like fun.
Let's venture out with no destination in mind and see where we end up
On a typical Friday night I am
It's pretty common to hear on this site but there really isn't typical. I can enjoy a good/crazy night out just as much as a chill get-together with goods friends. I'm up for anything as long as there is good company. My ideal Friday night would probably involve making music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm in a bromantic relationship with my dog, Rudy.
You should message me if
You dig scientists with hair that is just as nice as yours.
If you're more interested in my dog because he's cuter than me.
Also, if you're looking for something non-romantic like a jam sesh, doggie-date or adventure companion.
If you like to sing or make any type of music. I don't care if you're terrific or terrible. Let's make some melodies.
