My self-summary
Down to earth homebody. I am a music-lover, a movie-watcher, a professional video gamer, a voracious reader, a sometimes-writer, a quick-wit, and a world-class cuddler.

I have a soft spot for girls in skinny jeans, winking, and thick glasses.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a great job that keeps me busy during the week, and I'm satisfied with my stability and career.

My free time is happily spent doing whatever I want. Usually watching movies with my dog or reading.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, listening and giving sage advice, making boring responsible financial decisions, falling asleep while reading.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually my humor. If it's a rough day then my snarkiness.

Probably not my eyes, though. and-the-ivy wrote this about me. It's the limerick to end all limericks.

There once was a boy they called Darcy.
His eyes were a startling blue.
But with each passing day,
they turned more and more grey,
and are now the most tedious hue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music is my world, more or less. Here's a list of bands I'm in love with, in no particular order:

Phoenix, Fun., The Antlers, Nine Inch Nails, The Flaming Lips, Royksopp, Hockey, The Dirty Projectors, Opeth, Camera Obscura, Baroness, Jupiter One, Fuck Buttons, Here We Go Magic, +/-, Metric, Tegan and Sara, La Roux, Animal Collective, The Protomen, Clan of Xymox, Siouxsie and the Banshees, In Flames, Loreena McKennitt, Kidneythieves, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, Fiona Apple, Massive Attack, TV on the Radio, She Wants Revenge

Food: I'm not picky, and always eager to try something new and exotic. I don't like water-chestnuts, though. Ick.

Book: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is my favorite book. Otherwise I'll enjoy everything from Tuesdays with Morrie to Mouse Guard and The Lord of the Rings. I didn't hate Wuthering Heights, but I loathe Grapes of Wrath. I absolutely love Chuck Palahniuk and he's inspired much of my own writing.

Video Games: Xenogears, Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, The Witcher, StarCraft II, Final Fantasy

Movies: Still a toss up between Gladiator and Inception for my favorite film. American Psycho is up there too. I love a good creature feature; Alien, The Host, Ghost and the Darkness, etc. Lately I've been on a horror/thriller kick, but haven't found anything that scared me other than Black Christmas. Send me suggestions! I also like Amelie, The Red Violin, Pride and Prejudice, and The Secret Garden. My favorite Disney films are The Goofy Movie and Mulan.

TV: House, Castle, Firefly, Burn Notice, Dexter, Mad Men, Psych
Six things I could never do without
Music
Good friends
An IPhone
My horse, Stompy
The Internet
My car

(I do not actually have a horse.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Coffee, coffee breaks, and work. Also magic. Sometimes sharks. Occasionally I think about Eva Green.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Let's see: I used to live on a boat, I secretly enjoy Korean pop music, and I'm obsessed with owls.

Borderline TMI time? Sounds good to me. I associate as being a mental Dom in the bedroom. (Totally not a deal breaker though.)
You should message me if
You can form a sentence, you're cute, intelligent, and think we'd have fun together.

Give me a cute brunette or redhead who loves music and can make me laugh.
