My self-summary
I was told recently that I am “one in a million”. I THINK she meant it as a compliment. ;)

As the name suggests, I am an optimist. I think life should be as fun and drama-free as possible. That means a lot of playfulness, wittiness, laughter, playful teasing, not sweating the small stuff and looking for the good in situations and people. It means finding that balance between trying new things (sky diving?), travelling to new places (Norway? Iceland? Anywhere??) and having deep discussions about life, love and Trump-ageddon. It’s going out on the town, trying a new restaurant and staying in with each other for some quality time. In general, it means having an enthusiasm and passion for life with a positive outlook.

I love trying new things, travelling to new places, documentaries, podcasts, books, etc. Doesn’t mean I can’t do the “couch potato” thing (I enjoy that too), just means that I can’t do that ALL the time.

There are still LOTS of things I want to try: surfng, sky diving, paddle boarding, etc. Would love some company....

Being told on many occasions what great little-people my kids are, is the ultimate compliment. Almost makes all the gray hairs they've given me worth it. Almost. ;)

I believe the top traits to having a truly great relationship over the long haul are kindness and positivity. Everything else stems from that (i.e. great communication, intimacy, etc.).

I lead an active lifestyle out of a desire to stay active well into my 80’s, and would want someone with similar goals.

I'm a quick wit and a mean cook. (imagine mixing Hugh Grant with Jamie Oliver - without the awesome British accents and um....hooker fetish (Hugh) ).

Integrity, honour, truth and loyalty are more than just words to me. I take very seriously my role as a role model for my kids. Having said that, in our house we don't take life too seriously (there is LOTS of music, dancing and laughing in the house! - see the ping pong pic I have for a taste).

I love these quotes:

“To me, success is the ongoing process of striving to become more. It is the opportunity to continually grow emotionally, socially, spiritually, physiologically, intellectually and financially while contributing in some positive way to others. The road to success is always under construction. It is a progressive course, not and end to be reached.” -Tony Robbins

“I love a hot body as much as the next guy, but girls who are emotionally expressive, passionate, excited and have really positive attitudes are sexier than all hell.”- Mark Manson

Other things I love:

- dogs, movies, movie theatre popcorn, Asian food, sports, spy thrillers, books about happiness and personal growth, mountains, hiking, TV shows “Suits”, "Modern Family", pushing myself outside my comfort zone, laughing so hard you can't breath.

If you like a guy that is comfortable in his own skin, without being arrogant, that is a little old fashioned in his views of how to treat people, I'm your guy. Don’t be afraid to say hello. :)

Good luck to all.
