Here's the short version (TL;DR):
I'm looking for something uncomplicated and not too crazy serious right from day 1, but something that has the potential to develop into more...sounds easy, right?
I don't like to be sitting around all day...I love adventure and new experiences. I'm not necessarily interested in something super serious but if we really click and something comes out of it, then that's great! I'm up for anything, but if you're not enjoying yourself, then I'm probably not either. I grew up in North America, but was born in Europe. I love good music (I think I have exceptional taste), cooking, going out for dinner, going to movies/plays/cultural things, dancing all night and lots more. I'm involved in business/startups here in Prague, and want to live close to the Mediterranean in the near future.
I've been working on an electronic album for over 10 years, and have about 35 pages of a novel written...I've been on the same few pages for years. I'm self-employed in Prague, and I remain a firm believer that entrepreneurship done right can be a wonderful thing, and can help many people in the process. I love starting things...and am working on my struggle to finish them.
I really like to cook, make music, be physically active, watch movies and spend time with people who make me think/laugh/do fun things. I love anything to do with culture, learning new things, traveling and meeting new people.
So basically, these are the things I like:
Music, Art, Culture, Hedonism (in all of its glorious forms), Dancing, The Internets, Memes, Reddit, Infographics, any kind of nerdery, Networking, Big Ideas, Idealism, Romance, Philosophy...
Random Fun Facts:
- The secret to an awesome Chili con Carne is mustard, cilantro and cumin...
- 95% of the world (including you) tie their shoelaces wrong...
- 1990 was closer in time to the Apollo moon landing than the current date is to 1990, and we are closer in time to Stegosaurus, then Stegosaurus was to T-Rex (the dinosaur, not the 80s band).
Brian Eno, Dead Can Dance, Massive Attack, David Bowie, KMFDM, Brian Eno, Faith No More, Mike Oldfield, Frank Zappa, Men Without Hats (seriously, they have great stuff outside of their singles), The Talking Heads, Portishead, Tom Tom Club, Sonic Youth, Brian Eno (yes, I love him that much), Die Antwoord, Washed Out, The Box, The Police, White Town, NIN, Peter Gabriel, Nina Hagen, Alan Stivell, Tricky, Type O Negative, Bjork, Kate Bush, Simple Minds, Chairlift, Sissy Wish, Datarock, Erasure, We Are Enfant Terrible, FM Belfast, Midnight Juggernauts, LCD Sound System, Ladyhawke, Yacht, Miike Snow, Bachelorette, Home Video, Hey Champ, Junior Senior Dire Straits, Rolling Stones, Horace Andy, UB40, Carl Meeks Jr., Third World, almost all dancehall/reggae, anything new wave, Depeche Mode, Siouxie and the Banshees, Pink Floyd, The The, New Order, Martha and the Muffins, The Knife, too many to keep going...ok a few more...
Richard D. James, Boards Of Canada, Kraftwerk, μ-ziq, Ed DMX, Lektrogirl, D'arcangelo, Bochum Welt, Raiders of the Lost ARP, Ceephax Acid Sound Crew, SeeFeel, Metempsychosis (Orpheus, Mr eel, Minusbaby, Linc, Satori), Prodigy, Gary Numan, Autechre, The ORB, Goldie, Cell, Jeff Bennett, Orbital, Nintendo Music (MM2, MM3, FF, Batman, Jackal, Skate or Die...so many great ones!) Squarepusher, B12, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Amon Tobin, to name very few...
***It should also be noted that I have a huge soft spot for early 90s dance, euro, freestyle, Hi-NRG, italo disco, etc...don't judge!***
This list would be longer than the preceding one if I let it, so here's a few...
Waiting for the Barbarians, Confederacy of Dunces, The Fountainhead, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Dickens, Arthur C. Clarke, Foundation Series, Wuthering Heights, 1984, The Rum Diary, Rendezvous with Rama, Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus, Voltaire, Wodehouse, Kafka, Beckett, Dosto., Fast Food Nation, Hemingway, Alastair Reynolds...I think Jack Kerouac is really overrated, so if on the road is your favourite book, please don't message me (or keep it a secret forever).
...and this one would probably be longer than both of them combined. I'm almost at the point now where we could talk about which DoP and key grips I like. This really would take forever so I'll just leave it be.
ok so, you should message me if...A) you are awesome B) you can impress me with a random fact or bit of completely useless knowledge, or C) if you can make me laugh. many many bonus points if it's C!
I want a woman that can satisfy me intellectually as well as in other areas. There’s nothing sexier than a woman with personality. I'm looking for open-minded women who can make me laugh. If we click, and if you're fun, I'd like to get to know you better.
