"I’m a simple man. I like pretty, dark-haired women and breakfast foods."
These are quotes. If you know where they are from, you are good people.
I'm the ideal man for the girl who just wants a part-time boyfriend. Those days we see each other, I do all the normal boyfriend stuff. One day a month, once every other week, three times a week, whatever works best for your busy schedule. I'm sort of like a time-share boyfriend.
I have been in multiple long term polyamorous relationships. I don't date exclusively, and don't expect anyone I date to date me exclusively. Specifically, I practice ethical non-monogamy, as in I date two or more women, who also date other people, and we don't just all date each other. All the relationships are separate, one on one relationships. It is more like having multiple girlfriends, who I see on different days of the week.
I don't believe in monogamy and I don't do jealousy. I will happily answer/discuss any aspects of polyamory you're curious about. I appreciate my time to myself, but also equally enjoy those days I spend with someone. Finding a balance and making time for both is key.
I like people with drive and ambition. If you have a goal, and you are working towards it, and you want to share it with people around you, that's a great thing. We need more people like that.
I work hard and dream big. I'm starting to get where I want to go. Its taken a few years longer than I would have liked. Oh well. I'm ENTJ all the way.
I love cooking and having cocktails after work, or getting takeout and doing the same, and maybe watching and episode or two of new show or series that I've been introduced to.
LOLcats make me smile. Schadenfreude and I get along just fine. I also give great massages. I have restless hands, that are very strong and dexterous. Sometimes I don't even notice that I'm doing it. It is better than tapping my foot, at least.
I am extremely well read, and know ungodly amounts of things( mostly useless crap like history, trivia, etc) because I have an excellent memory for useless crap. I can hold my own in any conversation on any subject. I am insatiably curious, and once a question has been asked, I almost always end up looking it. Wikipedia is always a good place to start. For this reason I am thankful for the invention of the smart phone with web browser.
I am extremely honest, and expect the same. My ideal woman would be smart, a conversationalist, have a sense of humor, and a healthy sex drive. I like smart women, who have the broadest possible range of interests. I know that no one can know everything, but everyone can try to.
I used to go to the gym everyday, or even twice a day when I was in college. I need to work out more, I fell off my routine for months, and just started back a couple weeks ago. This has been really good for me. I try to work out between 3 and 5 times a week. Nothing is more enjoyable than that completely exhausted feeling after a hard workout, knowing that you did all you could, and then seeing the results week after week. I also like doing gymnastics, swimming, and running. I started running again in July of this year, almost back to doing a 5k a couple times a week. Currently, I am not very fast.
I'm a social drinker. It took a few years, but I developed a taste for a few things here and there. I like good beer, local/craft IPAs, homebrews, Belgians, Lambics, Barley Wines, Meads, etc, and good hard liquor. Gin and Tonic. 7 and 7s. Mules and Bucks. Wines, but I am picky, Chenin Blanc, Gewurztramener, or Beujolais Neuvo and some Rieslings.
I love going out to eat. I love finding new restaurants, and trying new dishes. I definitely live to eat, not eat to live. I even write myself little restaurant reviews, when I go out to dinner alone, which I hate doing, but that balances against my love of a fine meal, or discovering something new.
I am also an excellent cook, especially interesting fusion cuisine, Italian and rare Steaks. I like all kinds of food, especially German, Indian and Thai food, and rare steaks.
I'm not a big sports fan, though I did start watching Padre games in 2005. That went on for about a year. I still go to a couple games a year, but I don't have a TV or cable anymore, and don't really miss it. I will hit up a sports bar once or twice during football season to catch a game, the social part of that makes it more fun than watching at home.
I like good movies, of any type. I hate television, I don't own one, the roommates have one, but only for video games. I like computers and books. I used to think I wanted to retire by age 30. That didn't happen, obviously, but I have a suspicion that I could not have retired, no matter how successful I became. If I ever were so rich, that I felt I could retire, I would be doing too well at whatever I was doing, to want to give it up.
I like Welsh Corgis, they make me smile. I'd really like to get one, because I have never had a dog. But I just don't think it would mesh with my lifestyle, right now. If I can't handle a dog, then a wife and kids are right out.
I am trying to get back into software full time. My day job is a generic office job. I do software consulting on the side, and I'm currently kicking around a couple other business ideas with some friends. I would really like to get back into the tech stuff full time, but it is tricky. I have literally dozens of ideas for companies, but not enough time or money to try them all. I like building web apps and Android apps. I don't think I have a strong design asthetic but my stuff is very functional.
I have no shame and cannot be embarrassed (this is not an invitation to try). I can be asked anything, and will legitimately try to answer. Sarcasm does not work on me.
Also. I am not as evil as I may appear to be. Yes, I laugh when people get hurt, especially through their own stupidity/greed/hypocrisy. But I also like kittens. So it evens out.
Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. Tom Holt. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, Also Neuromancer, 1632/1633, Dune, old trashy Scifi, like Drake,Weber etc. Almost anything by Heinlein, especially Starship Troopers and Door Into Summer. Historical fiction is also good, if done with real history. I used to read a lot of trashy fantasy books, and trashier sci-fi, but I've developed standards and taste.
b) Kenneth Branagh's Henry V. Fight Club and Office Space. The older I get, the more they make sense. Anime, Monty Python, Tarantino, or Kurosawa. James Bond, Spy films, well done historical epics. Coupling(British version. I am Patrick. Mostly.) I haven't really watched a lot of films in the last couple years, I'm trying to change that, as there are a lot of good ones this year, and I missed out on a few the last couple years. Most recent film that I saw that I loved was John Wick.
TV Shows: Archer, Justified, Rome, The Wire, Deadwood, House, any BBC drama series like Luthor, Sherlock, TinkerTaylorSoldierSpy. Stargate(all of them - soo bad its good), CSI(another so bad its good show). Early seasons of Dexter. MacGyver Pairwise Comparisons.
c) Electronic music(trance, house, ambient), Infected Mushroom, U2(war and the Joshua tree), Dispatch, The Clash, The Police, Queen, The Ramones. Johnny Cash's American Recordings. Pearl Jam, Nirvana. Anything instrumental with a guitar and/or bass. Cliff Burton -Anethesia(Pulling Teeth). Jonathan Coltan. Andres Segovia, Eric Johnson, Jeff Buckley and Elliot Smith.
d) Spring Mix salads with Walnuts and Cranberries. Chicken Tika Masala, Tea, Iced Tea, made with Sugar and Lemon. California restaurants can never get it right, they never sweeten it before hand, and I am stuck putting SweetNLow in it. Thai Iced Tea and good steak. Indian food, [[Thai food]. Veal especially Italian or German Veal, Piccatta, Imperial, Saltibocca, etc. Japanese Food, especially Ton Katsu or Katsu Curry, with lots of Karashi. Korean food, especially BBQ.
My latest dining hobby has been Sunday Breakfasts and Brunches. There are tons of great places in this town, and I haven't tried them all. Some of them get busy, so the occasional sacrifice of sleeping in must be made in exchange, then so be it. I will get up early to beat the lines if the place is good enough.
!!!!EXTREMELY IMPORTANT--If you know what the above statement means, you absolutely should message me. I'm really curious to meet other people who know what I'm talking about and see what they are like.
THE FUTURE!!!! Also, my work, all the projects I'm currently juggling. My latest Internet project. How to make my life better. Physics.
You do not have to meet all these to message me. You don't need to meet any of them. I'm really friendly and don't jump to conclusions about people I know nothing about. Unlike people who like to write me hatemail and read into things. :) Feel free to send more hatemail, I get a laugh out of it.
You have something in your life you are passionate about, definite goal you want to accomplish AND a specific path or plan to get you there.
You have stalked me more than once. Seriously, I can see you looking at my profile. Send a message!
You're a short girl with dark hair, pale skin, and a nice body. Or Hips. I like Hips (Everyone has to have a type). Double points if you are also Asian or have a British accent. I may or may not have watched a lot of BBC Hong Kong as a kid. Once again, this does not mean you HAVE to be this, merely a statement that I have a type. Some people prefer tanned, Blond and Blue Eyed. I happen to prefer differently, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't date someone who didn't meet this archetype. I have in the past, and they have been great relationships.
You're a cute chick and want to ride me like a pony. (Just being honest again. I include this to indicate that I am ok with the idea of a relationship based primarily on physical attraction. I am comfortable with my body and my sexuality. I happen to enjoy sex, and would not be offended by the idea that a girl's primary or only interest in me was that.) Sex is perfectly normal and healthy, and I think society would be a lot better off it were a little less hung up on it.
You are not a total fat head. A fat head doesn't mean you're out of shape, it means you've given up trying to improve. Take pride in yourself and take care of yourself. I can help you with this also.(No, this is not a sexual innuendo. I like helping people make plans, and sharing workout tips and advice. I genuinely find that stuff interesting.) Everyone can use a bit of motivation and support now and then.
Yes, I know fat head is a harsh term, but I can't think of a better one and sometimes people need a little tough love to motivate them.
