My self-summary
Let's see...all the obvious stuff, right? So let's assume I wrote all of that here. And something witty & charming, too.
I'm a transplant from the Midwest. I grew up on a farm (a real one. With cows.), and went to high school in a town with one stoplight. That was more than enough incentive to go to college, grad school, and eventually wind up in NYC. I still work in the Big Apple, but live in B-more. OK, ok...I mostly work from home.
I am an avid scuba diver, and love an afternoon at the ballpark. I like going to the Symphony just as much as hiking through the woods. If I can be outside, that's usually better than being in. I don't really have a 'type', I enjoy meeting all kinds of people.
I make my own beer, like to cook (but don't do it nearly enough anymore), and am learning to fly. I love games (trivia, board, card, whatever), and brain teasers. The way to my heart is not so much through my stomach as much as it is through my mind. Make me think, make me laugh....I'm all yours.
If you want to know more, just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
I just returned from the future, where I picked up a sports almanac. I have big plans for that one.

I work for a large bank, so that takes up some of my time. I love getting out, exploring little neighborhoods, and finding the places off the beaten path.
I’m really good at
Listening and asking questions.
Knowing pointless things.
Being interested in everything that goes on around me.
The first things people usually notice about me
cliche answer- What did you notice about me?
alternate answer- my eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Coffee and Beer.

Favorite book- The Things They Carried. I like reading as many different things as possible- everything from Philosophy to classics to the Hunger Games trilogy.

Favorite movie- I want to say Lord of the Rings or Office Space, but....honestly, I'm not sure. I like so many.

Music- Everyone says they like everything, but I do. If I had to pick a few favorites: Flight of the Conchords, Pearl Jam, Johnny Cash, almost any pop music, regardless of the decade it's from.

The rest of the categories- yeah. I'm not picking favorites. I love variety. It's the spice of life. I'll say my favorites are the ones I haven't tried yet.
Six things I could never do without
My iPhone
Good conversation
Stupid puns and other various wordplay
Football games (go Rams! Ugh...I mean- it's a rebuilding year)
Spiders. Wait- I could do without spiders. They are bastards.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time people watching, and trying to learn everything about them that I can. The world is an interesting place, full of interesting things.

I also wonder why so many women on here post pictures of themselves with sunglasses on, in a group with 15 friends, or on top of a mountain. It's like there are OKC templates for these pictures or something. If you have any insights into that, please share.
On a typical Friday night I am
There's a typical Friday night? I think you're doing it wrong.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Bad grammar both irritates and amuses me. Irregardless isn't a word. Relative and relevant mean different things. So do systemic and systematic. Nonplus doesn't mean what you think it does.
I LOVE it when people use words in an effort to make themselves sound intelligent, but use the words incorrectly. It makes my day. I will mock people who do. You have to be ok with that.

I have a soft spot for animated tv shows (Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons, etc).
You should message me if
You're smart, funny, and interested in seeing what life has to offer. The right level of self confidence is incredibly sexy; you should contact me if you know what that level is.

Also- if you're looking for an asshole or a thug, I'm probably not your guy.
