NOTE 2: OKC IS NOT A CHAT APP. Do not treat this site or app as an IM client. If you don't respect me (or this process) enough to type out a decent message then I am not going to respond. One sentence is barely enough, but at least give me more than a "Hi". Dating and relationships take effort, so please show a little here.
... and now for someone completely different.
Fun haver, deep thinker, ridiculous appreciator. Smart news reader and cute animal video lover. Silly and hilarious. I can be dry and sarcastic and love hyperbole. I'm kinda awesome. ^_^
I lean heavily to the left. I'm passionate about gay rights and marriage equality, a woman's right to choose, gun control, and other social issues of the day. I pay close attention to news and current events because I think it's important to know what's going on in the world.
I have many hobbies and interests but am always looking for something new to try. I love being outside (parks, festivals, and zoos are the best) and will be out and about as long as the sun is shining.
I pay attention to what I eat and make an effort to stay fit but I'm not obsessive about it (there's no way I'll be outside running in January).
Bullet point time:
-I'm a no BS kinda guy. Ask a question, you'll get an honest (but never brutal) answer. If something needs talking about, then I'll bring it up.
-I have a lot of hobbies and interests (Anime, gaming, comics, gadgets/tech, reading, movies, aliens, RC Aircraft, etc).
-I have a positive attitude. I'm an eternal optimist and thankful for it.
-If you have a sense of humor, I will make you laugh. If you don't have a sense of humor, I'm very sorry.
- I'm a big kid in a lot of ways, but doesn't mean I lack wisdom or experience.
-I'm an animal lover.
- I have great self esteem, but no ego/arrogance. I know I'm not perfect or not always right, and that's ok.
- I read instructions when building something and I'm not afraid to ask for directions.
- I don't mind cooking and washing the dishes
- Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
- The answer is 42.
I am also a napkin thief. ;-)

As for work, I'm a Systems Administrator for a company downtown. This means I can fix your computer, configure your router, and set up your home theater system. Then I'll cook dinner and maybe bake some brownies. I'm handy like that.
-fixing things/working with my hands
-I'm VERY observant
-laughing/making others laugh
-thinking for myself
-respectfully disagreeing during a discussion/debate
-following the Tao
- walking. I'm an excellent walker.
-Benjamin Hoff (Tao of Pooh)
-Neil Gaiman (everything he's written)
-R.A. Salvatore (Drizzt FTW)
-Robert Jordan (WOT)
-Joe Abercrombie (First Law Trilogy)
-Brian Greene (Elegant Universe)
Dune by Frank Herbert: This was so impressive. I can't believe it took me so long to read it.
Movies - The Matrix, Princess Bride, The Avengers (and all the Marvel films), The Lego Movie, Being John Malkovich, Anime, sci-fi, comedy, horror, etc. Some dramas (Valmont, Lost in Translation) and romantic comedies are also good.
TV - HGTV, Firefly, Doctor Who, Little Britain, Avatar The Last Airbender, Invader Zim, ATHF, Downton Abbey, Anime, adult swim, Science Channel, History Channel, National Geographic Channel, CNN (my Sunday morning is not complete without Fareed Zakaria's GPS followed by Reliable Sources).
One Punch Man (It's fucking awesome!!)
Music - Everything except country. Seriously I appreciate all kinds of music (and arts in general).
Food - Cupcakes. Provide some baked goods and you'll have a friend forever.
-new adventures/lazy days (when appropriate)
-chalk bag, climbing shoes
-an Android phone+internet radio+GPS+Runtastic PRO
-techy gadgets (phone, game console, Vita, etc.)
-LUSH bath bombs
-SelectTech 552 weights

-out for a drink with friends (though I don't drink)
-watching a movie (at a theater or at home)
-playing a game (board, card, video, etc)
-preparing for the zombie invasion
-You're not afraid to have fun and be a little silly. If you take yourself (or life) too seriously then I'm not your man.
-I don't mind emailing back and forth to start, but to know one is to meet one for coffee, or dinner, or a walk in the park, etc. You can only glean so much from emails, so meeting up is really best done sooner rather than later.
Finally, a little note: I am a strong believer in putting friendship first. If two people become great friends, and an attraction is there, a more intimate relationship will develop naturally as long as both parties are honest with each other. I don't like the idea of "dating" (or the pressures and preconceived notions that go along with it). When I meet someone it's as friends first. No pressure. No expectations. Just two people trying to get to know each other. Whatever happens from there (friendship, love, or nothing) will happen on its own.
So, if you like what you see here please drop me a line. Hopefully friendship will ensue!!
