My self-summary
I'm a typical proud single mother, always busy, always on the go. I'm pretty good at finding entertainment in most every situation. If I could spend 9 months out of the year on vacation, preferably to some place warm and tropical, I would jump at the chance. I dig creative and artistic people. I actually enjoy working out, not the profuse sweating, but the soothing after-effects. I like trying new things and consider myself fairly open-minded.

I am funny, affectionate, and sarcastic
What I’m doing with my life
I spend the bulk of my time making sure that my kids are healthy and happy. What little time leftover I have is spent trying to make people relax.
I’m really good at
making turkey meatloaf (I've perfected my recipe over the years and yes, it's kid-approved), playing Guitar Hero on Medium, board games, picking out obscure celebrity voices in commercials, kissing boo-boos, making buffalo wings, doodling, trivia, defensive driving, cuddling, and snappy retorts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd have to take a poll, but I've been told I have a "nice smile", which I sometimes wonder is code for "nice rack"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like Nick Hornby a lot, but truthfully, I know way more about Dr. Seuss and Judy Blume these days.

Pan's Labyrinth, any Judd Apatow movie, Dazed and Confused, Say Anything, Like Water for Chocolate, all Pixar movies, and Boogie Nights.

Marvin Gaye, The Cure, Ella Fitzgerald, The Smiths, Fleetwood Mac, Billie Holiday, Deathcab for Cutie, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Al Green, Elvis Costello, The Jam, Eisley, The Sea and Cake, any permutation of the English Beat, Norah Jones, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters, Interpol, T.V. on the Radio, The Beastie Boys, Adele . . .

I'm an adventurous eater, but I don't eat red meat.
Six things I could never do without
my family, sunshine, green tea ginger ale, tivo, shoes/accessories (blame Imelda Marcos), and fresh air
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my grocery list and this week's kid-pleasing menu, what would make me happy, the meaning of life, if the It's-It factory does tours, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop, why people like reality t.v. so much (a guilty pleasure of mine), people's posture, and where I'd like to go on my next trip.
On a typical Friday night I am
most likely hanging out with my children at home, cuddled up on the couch watching movies and eating popcorn. Friday is earmarked for "family night."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
well, then it wouldn't be "private", now would it? That information is given on a "need to know" basis.
You should message me if
you're a decent human being and have a sense of humor.
