Additionally I seem to have the worst possible instincts in how and whom I try to message or "chat up" to steal the English slang term. Amazingly bad... For scale think Jeff from "Coupling"; although I've never told somebody I have a fake leg.
Other than that...
I derive intense enjoyment out of making oblique puns and references to the fringes of pop culture to see who catches on and who just stands to the side and misses the point.
I am currently in a relationship. Both of us have spent too much of the last few years in relative social isolation and meeting new people is something we're working on.
Again, heavy on the Sci-fi Fantasy stuff for movies as that is where I'm seeing the best character work. Most dramas and comedies that are billed as such recently have had very flat banal characters. Even the movie adaptation of "Choke" which could have been immensely dark and twisted still took the wonderfully flawed and nuanced characters from the book and reduced them to one or at most two aspects of those characters so that the "average audience" will understand it. But RDJ gets to play all of the nuances of Tony Stark because the "average audience" for comic book films expects it after Toby Macguire played Peter Parker, and Heath Ledger made the Nolan Trilogy Watchable.
I don't miss having cable since I do have netflix. Mythbusters, Walking Dead, Historical documentaries, and Dr. Who are pretty much the core of what I've watched TV wise for the past few years.
For live shows: Even shows i don't like I still tend to enjoy as I will analyze them for production/ character ideas. you don't have to ask twice.
Musically my collection is all over the place, although the growth has been hindered over the past few years by a combination of economy and not hearing a whole lot that I actually liked. (Auto -tune as a standard just makes me cringe).
My guitars, although I have been picking them up less often recently
Music From various genres. If I had to pick just one genre to get by on I'd be in trouble.
Oxygen and carbon. (there had to be one obvious trite one)
Art in general, although leaning more towards performing arts. I tend to dislike museums because everything in them feels dead to me. Art needs to be in a human environment. Otherwise it's just pretty pictures of flowers and nekkid people.
Computer based entertainment...
In no particular order and in multiple combinations.
You want to.
You think I should have messaged you first.
